Is saying that I’m mad for plaid too cheesy? Because it’s true! This classic print is having SUCH a big moment right now and I can’t seem to get enough of it. I even had plaid on my NYFW nails (see them here)! When it comes to styling plaid, the rule is that there aren’t any rules. I love to mix and match and play with proportions and print sizes like I did for this look.
[parallax] [/parallax]I wore this full menswear-inspired plaid look during Paris Fashion Week and I loved how it paired with my hat and mules (similar here). You might remember me talking about my (super affordable) Isabel Marant hat in this post here! I love how well it works with both structured pieces like the coat and trousers as well as more feminine pieces. You guys know how much I’ve been preaching about a good oversized blazer, so why not make it plaid, too! These culotte trousers are also a great addition to any fall wardrobe. A plaid on plaid look might be a little overwhelming, but incorporating the print into your wardrobe is as easy as a chic scarf like this one, or even a pair of earrings!
Be sure to check out some amazing blazer and trousers picks throughout the post, and some more of my plaid picks down below! Have a fantastic weekend, everyone!

I say go bold or go home, and nothing quite says that like plaid on plaid. Would you suggest a more tapered silhouette for shorter ladies?
p/s is denim on denim is the Canadian tuxedo, what’s plaid on plaid then? 😛
