Is it finally turtleneck season? One of the best parts about the weather cooling down is being able to layer, and my favorite way to do that this fall is with a thin white turtleneck. Emphasis on the word “thin” because when you live in a place like LA, it seems like the coldest the temperature drops to is 60 degrees. Gotta love it! So when it gets to be about this time of year, I always grab my trusty white turtleneck (like this one for under $50!) and experiment with ways to layer it for fall! If you remember this post, I’ve been really into layering slip dresses/camisoles for an unexpected look and this outfit is no different. While the turtleneck and black leather skirt would look fine on its own, something about the touch of velvet and lace really elevates the outfit to a different level. When the turtleneck is styled just right, it can completely transform your cold-weather look!
So if you’re layering a lace-y camisole, a sexy slip dress or even a simple and chic button-down blouse like this cute PJ’s inspired one, a white turtleneck is the ultimate layering piece. To be honest, wearing turtle necks here in South East Asia is as fun as baking oursleves in the oven like a marinated turkey. Turtlenecks are my FAVOURITE layering item! They are so easy to layer under or over something – here in London we need a thicker material for sure though, or at least a warmer one! I also adore layering underneath my camis and I like to experiment with colours as well!
