New Year New Face

I can’t believe that for this new year I’m already traveling again! We’ve got some big trips coming up, but I’m so excited to be here in Paris with Chloe. If you follow my snapchat (@chrisellelim), you know that I’ve been going back & forth between fittings and shows and it’s been absolutely crazy but so rewarding! For this new year, one of my goals is to be able to learn to juggle my duties as a mom and as a business woman. Even though it’s been super stressful, I’m so happy the crazy hours haven’t taken a toll on my skin. BareMinerals just came out with a new 3 step skin care line where all three steps work in conjunction to purify and renew my skin. I love the flexibility that this line offers because with all the traveling that I do, I really need products that can be as flexible as my crazy schedule. Here are the three steps that I’ll be incorporating into my skincare routine every night to maintain a fresh face for the new year!

STEP 1: Purify

Cleansing is probably THE most essential part of your skin care routine. If you don’t have a proper cleanser, then leftover makeup can live on your face overnight and over time age your skin. This new line offers four different cleansers to purify your skin. I think the Clay Chameleon Transforming Cleanser is really unique because although it comes out red, once activated by water it turns into a beautiful white cleansing foam. Their Acne Treatment Cleanser is also great for the days when I break out, which has been happening a lot recently… maybe from the stress of traveling? I like the idea of being able to switch up my cleanser every now and then to give my face a variety of treatments!

STEP 2: Empower

Ginger extracts and California poppies make this step perfect for anti aging and a radiant complexion!

I love the packaging that this Vital Power Infusion Serum comes in. The rose gold is reminiscent of the ginger extract within the product but it also feels very luxurious and beautiful to the touch. I love using serum to prep my face for moisturizer because it’s such a great way to infuse my skin with more nutrients. This serum instantly revives my face and gives me fresh glowy skin, which is perfect for tiring traveling days!

The variety in these moisturizers is amazing. The Butter Drenched Rich Cream makes my skin so soft! It’s great for the cold temperature of Paris right now! I also love their gel cream because its light and fluffy, which makes my skin feel super light weight. Because I’m traveling back and forth between super cold climates and sunny California, it helps to have a heavier rich cream as well as a lightweight moisturizer for the warmer nights.

Even though I’m in front of the camera a lot, I care more about having good natural skin than covering it up with a lot of makeup. That’s why if you guys haven’t noticed, my beauty tips are more focused on using great skincare products to achieve natural glowing skin than faking it with makeup. I’m really excited to continue to use these bareMinerals products because despite this insane schedule, I still want to maintain happy and healthy skin for the year!
