Sophisticated Seventies

posted by on 2011.08.17, under Chriselle Inc., Outfit Of The Day

I cant say I have a favorite color but I’ve always had an undying romance with shades of blush & champagne. Im feeling quite romantic today in my fluttery sheer top intermingled with delicate polka dots & that perfect patent Valentino bow. Wide leg trousers have always reminded me of the sophisticated seventies..

The 50′s & 70′s have always been my favorite fashion decades….What is your favorite decade? Let me know in the comment section below!

All White

Lately i’ve been finding myself wearing the same accessories and changing up the outfits. These days you will never see me without my black leather brim hat, House of Harlow sunglasses, Beso beso jewelry, Michael kors watch and of course my engagement ring. Speaking of my engagement ring i’ve been finding comfort in wearing All White lately. possibly my subcautious is telling me I need to start planning this wedding of mine! *sighhhhh if only I had more hours in the day. I definitely can use some advice on wedding planning right about now….or someone just really needs to kick me from behind to get me going!

It feels as if, at any moment, Summer could slip right through our fingers…. So I’ve been traipsing around town  on a summer’s day in my salmon pink pants. Its that perfect pink that can easily be mistaken for a cotton candy/barbie pink…so I decided to harden it up a bit with this sleevless Rachel Roy army vest. If there was one word that can best describe my style it would be JUXTAPOSE. The best outfits usually come from mixing different elements of classic & trendy, colorful and ordinary, edgy and sweet…. breaking up the expected and pairing it with the unexpected.

When I say Red..You Say Leopard…

posted by on 2011.06.15, under Outfit Of The Day

I’ve always been a steadfast believer in the notion that it’s always better to be over-dressed than under. Red & green reminds us of christmas, black & orange reminds us of Halloween, and when I see red leather I think of leopard. (Don’t ask why..I just do!) Paired up this impossibly cool red boyfriend blazer with my red leather mini. Red on Red is quite a bold fashion statement …make sure you break up all the redness in between with a neutral color belt or a strong pattern (such as leopard).

Will be filming a fun tutorial today out in Palm Spring with Michelle Phan…oh boy are we ready to burn. Heard it will be 107 degrees out there! Wish us luck! Have a lovely day darlins’

What i love about being a stylist is the randomness and unpredictable places life will take you. We spent this past weekend at a beautiful resort in Palos Verdes styling up a fashion show.

My assistant and I were so organized this time around we had most of the  weekend to explore and enjoy ourselves at the resort. There is nothing more relaxing than the view of the ocean alongside with a glass of wine.

Sometimes the best-made plans (for work) can fall wayside to an unexpected lovely vacation.

Hope its beautiful where you are!

Im sure some of you can relate but lately with those Oh So Comfy leggings back into style..i have put my jeans on the back burner.I mean c’mon nothing beats an oversized shirt with a pair of stretchy leggings, right?…… ummmm WRONG! I’m here to tell you its time to kiss your lovely leggings so-long & goodbye (le sigh). and WHY HELLLLLLLO jeans and may I add with tons of stretch? Michelle Phan and I recently collaborated with Hautelook to show you gals how versatile jeans can be. A pair of good fit jeans can do wonders to your wardrobe, your ‘tude (attitude), legs, and buttocks!

In my everyday wardrobe I always try to mix casual & dressier pieces together to create a well balanced outfit…and Im ALLL ABOUT mixing highs & lows together.

Alot of you gals have been asking for the breakdown of my outfits from our recent Denim Video. So here they are!

Would love to see how you girls dress up your denim! Leave me a comment or a picture on my FB page of how YOU dress up your deim.

The weather was way too beautiful to pass up so we decided to take advantage of the LA sun (before April showers start!) …Talk about knocking 3 birds with one stone. 1. Attempt to tan my pasty white legs 2. Catch up on some magazines (aka get some work done)  3. Get inspired (and so we did!)

Here are some of my Spring MUST HAVES: 1. A Bright bold colored top (currently loving this deep royal blue) 2. Tweed jacket (dress it down like i did here or you can dress it up for work ) 3. Statement necklace 4. loafers (no joke, ive been wearing these leopard print ones everyday since I got them!) 5. & of course the infamous CIRCLE glasses.

Currently in the works of editing videos for my youtube channel and prepping for 5 campaign shoots I am styling up. And the pressure is on…but sometimes you just gotta Kick Up Your Feet & let God do the rest!

I AM NAKED without:

1. my Michael Kors Rose gold watch

2. my Chunky, oversized obnoxious jewelry

3. my Shearling or fur of some sort

4. my thick eyebrows

What are yours?
