How to Wear Leather in the Spring

I love being able to use items already in my closet to transition my wardrobe between seasons. For Spring to Summer, I know there are a lot of sun dresses, florals, and ruffles, but sometimes I’m not in the mood to dress girly (do you guys every feel like that?). And although I loved my look from yesterday, today I was feeling my leather culottes.

I wore these guys a lot during fashion week (see here) so I loved pulling them out again! They have a cool-girl touch to them but are totally effortless and not super tight which makes them really breathable during the hotter days. I paired them with a chic button-down and this amazing metallic knit jacket (see it here) to complete the look for the day.

Since the look is pretty simple, I stepped it up with my accessories. Over-embellished pieces like these heels and this bag are a great way to add a little punch of whimsy to your look! I finished off the outfit with some dainty jewelry (check out a similar choker here!) and a nude lip which was perfect for a day of meetings.

What do you guys think about wearing leather as a transition piece? Let me know in the comments below! And be sure to come back to the blog this afternoon for a H-U-G-E announcement.

I love pulling things from my closet as well and reworking them into another season. I feel you too, somedays I’m not feeling super girly and want to wear something more street or chic. I always love seeing how you put outfits together, thanks for the inspo! xo, M

  • Diana says:

Your new bag is so fabulous! In Houston it’s so hard to wear leather once it gets hot. We don’t really get spring here, lol just straight to summer.
