3.1 Phillip Lim Fall 2016

Besides the fact that I think all Lims are badasses (biased much?) Phillip Lim’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection was as badass as it gets, if I do say so myself. The line had the perfect balance of femininity and masculinity. From velvet tracksuits to kimono-like dresses and military jackets… it was a collection dedicated to all the lady bosses out there!

Now can we talk about the predictably unpredictable weather during NYFW? From rain to snow to 1 degree weather… we endured it all! I’m surprised I haven’t caught a cold yet! Because of the crazy weather, the most memorable day during fashion week was on the day that 3.1 Phillip Lim was showing. It was SNOWING and we were able to capture the most glorious photos after the show! We were the crazy California girls out on the streets of New York making snow angels while rest of the city was trying to find a dry place to stay. I wore a monochromatic 3.1 Phillip Lim outfit from his Spring/Summer 2015 Collection and absolutely fell in love with the ruffle details on the skirt and top. I also layered this oversized Tanya Taylor denim jacket (similar here) on top. How weather appropriate is this hoodie for the snow? The denim actually kept the cold out and kept me pretty warm! (Especially for the Cali girls that don’t own umbrellas …lol.)

Although I’m happy to be back in Los Angeles, I must say I had so much fun during this NYFW. I was able to create the craziest memories with my team and some of my closest friends. But for now, I’m going to enjoy my time in LA before I jet off to Paris in a few days!!
