The 3 Trends I'm Bringing into 2019

Since I’m officially off of maternity leave, I’m so excited to start wearing non-maternity clothes again…you don’t even know!

It’s like I’ve been shopping in my closet these last few weeks! Of course, I still have my postpartum body (which I talked about a little bit on this IG post here) so I’ve been steering away from certain silhouettes. Luckily, some of my favorite trends that I’m bringing into 2019 are super flattering- no matter what your body type is!

Keep scrolling to check out what trends I’m taking with me into 2019.

Layering Turtlenecks & 80’s Silhouettes

I know layering dresses and turtlenecks have been around for a minute now, but it’s not going anywhere (at least for me it’s not)! It’s the best option for those low v-dresses and chillier weather. This dress from Balmain is everything, but when I tried it on minus the turtleneck originally, the cleavage was intense and it’s still quite chilly out! Layering the turtleneck underneath gave the dress a whole different look.

80’s silhouettes were all over Instagram and the runways last year and I’m actually so in love with the comeback looks. I love the strong shape it gives you, and it’s a fun look to play around with when it comes to proportions! This look, in particular, is great because it has the pronounced shoulders but since it’s a mini dress- it all out!

Maxi Dresses & Boots

I love the ‘Little-House-on-the-Prairie-but-fashion’ vibe this look has! I paired this gorgeous Chloe dress (similar here) with a pair of Balmain boots (like these) to give a cool juxtaposition to the outfit. I love the contrast between the light and airy dress and the heavier boots. Throw on an oversized blazer like this one here and you’ve got the perfect winter look that you can carry right into spring!

Handkerchief Print

Calling it now- this print is going to be everywhere this year! I just love how classic and timeless it is. You guys know I’ve been in love with silk scarves for ages now- wearing them around my head like this post here or in my hair like I’m wearing above- so seeing classic scarf prints all over the runway was so exciting!
