Hey guys! It’s Hannah back on the blog today!
If I had it my way, I’d have my toes in the sand all summer. Unfortunately, that’s not possible so when I do get a chance to get to the beach I make sure to take full advantage of it. That usually means wearing nothing but my bathing suit for as long as possible.
As you’re reading this, I’m on a mini vacation in Tulum, Mexico with some friends which means I packed as little as possible into a carry-on. (Do you remember when I packed for a full week abroad in just a carry on?) Because I’ve learned from the best (AKA Chriselle), I know that double duty pieces are the way to go for packing, especially for a tropical vacation. That’s where a little bit of creativity comes into play!
To keep my OOTD’s looking cool and my suitcase weight at a minimum, I’m taking full advantage of taking my swimsuits from the beach to the streets.
CROP TOP
High waisted pants or shorts are the way to go when you’re rocking your bikini top as a top. I like this top from Kendall + Kylie Swim because it’s super sporty and doesn’t make me feel like I’m wearing a full on bra with pants. I threw on some chucks and a denim jacket (the one I’m wearing is from Levis!) and I’ve got the perfect post-beach look. Now, if only I could skateboard because I have a feeling I’d fit right in on the boardwalk in Venice.
BODYSUIT
Taking a styling cue from the one and only Chriselle, I’m taking full advantage of my one-piece bathing suit from Rebecca Minkoff and doubling it as a bodysuit! This is the kind of look that I can see myself throwing on after a long day at the pool to meet everyone for drinks somewhere. The leather skirt (this one is from Zara a few years ago but check out a similar one here!) and buckle block heels (check out a similar pair here for under $100!) give the look chic dressed up vibe which is perfect for a night out!
Do you guys ever take your bathing suits from the beach to the streets? Let me know how you do it in the comments below! Have a great weekend everyone!

Yes, I love the idea of wearing a bathing suit with more “daytime friendly” items – it makes such a great and chic summer outfit! Plus, it’s sooo effortless! <3 🙂 Love how you styled the bodysuit with a skirt

Great post! These looks are gorgeous, and I especially love dressing up a one piece swimsuit. So many of them are gorgeous and it would be a waste to wear it only at the beach. I imagine dressing it up with shorts would be gorgeous!

I totally agree! Thank you so much Tabitha! x
I love how you styled the black swimsuit with the leather skirt. Personally, I like to wear bikini tops with maxi skirts.
