Every season, I like to talk about certain trends I’m loving, but when it comes to fall, it’s really the classic pieces that anchor everything. Think of your classic pieces like a blank canvas that you can play around with every season! If you’ve been following me for a while now, you probably know that there are certain pieces that I’ll always end up pulling out this time of year. Sometimes they have a trendy twist to them, but they will always be some variation of a classic. The turtleneck, a masculine belt, and wide-leg trousers are classics that will never go out of style. It’s all about how you style them year after year!
I found this turtleneck while browsing Farfetch (check it out here) and it’s is such a gorgeous chunky knit. I love that the super chic cut-outs by the sleeves give it an amazing twist to a classic wardrobe staple. Between pairing it with some wide leg trousers (see them here) or a pair of easy casual jeans, you absolutely can’t go wrong with a chic turtleneck! Beyond clothes, I also love finding classic accessories that transcend seasons and compliment everything I manage to wear and style with them.
This gorgeous black leather belt (see it here) is the perfect example of that! It adds a masculine touch to any outfit I wear and is a great way to instantly add polish. It almost looks like I stole it from Allen’s closet, with I love! Now, I know I’ve preached about wide leg trousers on the blog for what seems like ages, but they’re my ultimate power piece. I always feel the most confident in them! I also grabbed these easy minimal black sandal heels (check out some similar heels here!) to finish out the look.
Do you guys have any classic fall pieces you reach for season after season? Let me know in the comments below and have a great day!
What do YOU think?

Wearing clothes that are super huge on you looks great in pics, but not practical for everyday/reality!
Great pictures though!
I love a chunky knit turtle neck!
Also this post gives me a good excuse to go out and get a long lasting leather belt! They’re really a good investment though, all my cheap belts are starting to fall apart now…
