Wearing a dress over my jeans has become my new go-to uniform these days. Have any of you noticed? I love how a cute floral dress like this one by Rebecca Taylor can act almost as a tunic when I layer it with a pair of jeans. It’s a cool way of adding some edge to such a feminine piece! This pair of jeans by AMO is great because the hem hits right above my ankles, which helps balance out the proportions of the outfit and show off my shoes. Plus, the frayed hem gives the look a super cool element!
I’ve been in love with this kind of look ever since I wore it at the DVF show during New York Fashion Week. ICYMI, you can see it here. For this look, in particular, I decided to go with my Vetements mules (similar here), my cute little Chanel bag (similar here) and a subtle lip color. Though it’s steadily getting warmer in Los Angeles, this is a great outfit formula to transition from winter into spring! The floral dress gives a nod to warmer days but the jeans keep you from freezing.
