I’m sure by now, you all have seen my hundreds upon hundreds of outfit changes during the many fashion weeks I’ve attended. More often than not, I am lucky enough to have some of my favorite fashion houses dress me for their shows, but if you were to ask what I actually pack in my own personal wardrobe, you would probably see a variation of the same things. Today was my first day running around the city for fittings and meetings and I wanted to share my ideal everyday Parisian look with you!

1. Trench Coat
I mean… come on! How can you be in Paris without a sophisticated trench coat? There are MANY variations of the trench, but I recently purchased this oversized long ACNE trench before heading to Paris. Not only have I been eyeing it for quite some time, but I finally pulled the trigger since I just LOVED everything about it. When you leave it open it will flow dramatically in the wind, and when you belt it around the waistline it gives a more streamlined and sophisticated finish. The attention to detail on this coat is just amazing… from the long cuffs to the buckles on the sleeves.
Another staple of mine for my Parisian wardrobe (not to mention my Cali wardrobe as well!) is the perfect cream sweater. I love this one because the ruffles on the shoulder add a bit of a girly and feminine touch to an otherwise more masculine look (also there are ruffles on the bottom of the sweater but I decided to tuck them into my pants). You can shop this Rebecca Taylor sweater HERE!
3. Black Pants
Just like the trench, there are many variations of black pants… Besides the typical black jeans I always travel with, I recently bought these culottes and have been wearing them non-stop! They look great with high heels, a low block heel (as seen above), loafers, or even boots! Black pants are one of those items that will go with anything in your wardrobe no matter what. I also try to look for new silhouettes of the same basics so I can change up my classic look here and there. In this case, it was these ACNE culottes (similar here)!
I usually ALWAYS bring a good pair of flats with me when I travel. But recently, I’ve also been loving these gorgeous white pointy block heels! First off, they are super stylish so I can wear them with every fashion week look, and second, they are uber comfortable so I can go all day without worrying about my feet (which is crucial during Fashion Week). These Proenza Schouler heels were another recent purchase of mine. I love spending money on items that I know will last me beyond just a season or trend… I know I will be wearing these for a longggggg time. Shop these babies HERE!
Need I say more? I don’t think so…. besides the fact that I loved my original Céline’s so much that I bought the same style in black with a thinner frame. Like they say… if one fits: get it in every color! (Check out these similar ones here!)
Now the next time you travel to Paris or anywhere in the world really (well maybe not tropical places), think about these 5 basics and make sure you have them ready to go in your suitcase! P.S. Wish me luck… I have a busy week ahead but I’m so excited to announce that I’ll be posting live from Paris every day on the blog so make sure to check in daily and twice a day! Love you all!
