Fashion Week is a great time to experiment with looks and trends that I wouldn’t normally wear. Even if it’s a simple look, the littlest things can make the biggest difference. Looking back on my NYFW outfits, this look has to be one of my absolute favorites. It’s a more stylized version of what I would typically wear on a work day with an added little twist. I mixed a few of my older pieces such as these H&M leather trousers (similar here) with this white top and bralette that I bought from Intermix.
When getting dressed for the day, sometimes it’s not necessarily about WHAT you’re wearing but HOW you wear it. Granted, this Fendi coat (similar here) is the most intricate trench coat I’ve ever seen, but it’s more about how I styled it. Did you guys remember a few years ago when all the fashion girls were wearing the jackets draped over the shoulders without putting their arms through the sleeves? Well, that was soooooo 5 years ago. Now it’s all about draping your jacket off one shoulder while you are actually wearing the jacket. Trust me, all the fashion girls are doing it… and it’s a more stylized way to wear a simple jacket. Whether it be a fancy Fendi coat or a simple classic trench like this one HERE it just looks cool. You can do this little trick with any jacket but it works best with a jacket that is slightly oversized.
Will you guys try the off the shoulder jacket trend? Let me know in the comments down below and have a fantastic Monday! PS: Be sure to come back to the blog around 2 p.m. PST to read my 3 easy tips to lose 5lbs!

The struggle is real for me right now because it’s at that point where coats are getting too hot to wear and jackets are still not enough…

I love your coat. It is so stylish and beautiful. I would not wear my coat like this though; if it is cold outside why bother to wear a coat at all if it is hanging off your shoulder and open? Sometimes common sense has to rule over style. I would rather be warm.
Love your coat!!

Hmm.. I don’t know if this is the way I will be wearing my jacket. Maybe both shoulder revealed? Luckily we still got few more months of coat-weather before it’s time to reveal the bikini bod haha.

I’ve actually always loved this way of wearing a coat! Because I’ve always been so small, sometimes it just naturally happens but I just think it looks so effortless and cool1 You’ve picked a fabulous coat to try this trend on as well and this outfit is really beautiful!
