Once upon a time, I was all about pink and frills and heels and ruffles and florals. Since then, my style has definitely evolved. I gravitate toward more simple and streamlined silhouettes and keep my color palette for the most part neutral. I can’t even count how many times I’ve worn an all white monochromatic look. But as much as my style has changed, I still love a good floral moment. However, it’s much more understated and polished. Something about being in Paris, especially while strolling down the prettiest pastel street made this light peach floral Ganni dress feel right at home. But seriously, how cute is this street? Even on a day as gloomy as that, the colors just made me so happy!
My trick to wearing floral is to wear the print on a larger scale. The smaller the print, the busier it looks visually. I paired the dress with my go-to Derek Lam flats (similar here), the cutest Erin Fetherston bag, and a gorgeous mauve-y pink lip. Plus, a good floral dress, especially in a deeper color palette would be a perfect transition piece for fall! Pair it with some boots and throw on a leather jacket (like this one for under $100!) and you’re good to go! Check below for my floral picks!

Love the dress with the bag. I agree with doing the floral on a larger print. I also tend to gravitate towards neutrals and prefer a subtle statement most of the time 🙂
