Unexpected Vacay

What i love about being a stylist is the randomness and unpredictable places life will take you. We spent this past weekend at a beautiful resort in Palos Verdes styling up a fashion show.

My assistant and I were so organized this time around we had most of the  weekend to explore and enjoy ourselves at the resort. There is nothing more relaxing than the view of the ocean alongside with a glass of wine.

Sometimes the best-made plans (for work) can fall wayside to an unexpected lovely vacation.

Hope its beautiful where you are!

Kick Up Your Feet

The weather was way too beautiful to pass up so we decided to take advantage of the LA sun (before April showers start!) …Talk about knocking 3 birds with one stone. 1. Attempt to tan my pasty white legs 2. Catch up on some magazines (aka get some work done)  3. Get inspired (and so we did!)

Here are some of my Spring MUST HAVES: 1. A Bright bold colored top (currently loving this deep royal blue) 2. Tweed jacket (dress it down like i did here or you can dress it up for work ) 3. Statement necklace 4. loafers (no joke, ive been wearing these leopard print ones everyday since I got them!) 5. & of course the infamous CIRCLE glasses.

Currently in the works of editing videos for my youtube channel and prepping for 5 campaign shoots I am styling up. And the pressure is on…but sometimes you just gotta Kick Up Your Feet & let God do the rest!

A Striped Muse

Currently obsessed with anything and everything striped…whether horizontal, vertical, or slanted. It’s just downright a classic statement pattern without being too obnoxiously bold. Maybe it has to do with my obsession with long clean lines (ok fine, thats just my OCDness) or maybe it has to do with my childhood love and inspiration…….

A-ha! that must be it. Where’s Waldo… Forever A Striped Muse of mine.

A Balanced Act

You know those girls that can pin point their style down in 1-2 words? well yes…Im definitely NOT one of those girls. Here’s a brief description of my style..Classic romantic with an edge of rocker chic with a twist of 70′s bohemian glam wrapped around a clean cut, minimalistic, & sophisticated look.  (*breathing*Panthing*) A BALANCED ACT- basically in other words i dont like to look too girly nor too edgy nor too grown up…but a mix of everything in between. In the outfit above I’m wearing a girly ruffled shirt with a boho maxi skirt which made me look a bit TOO little house on the prairie-like….. so I added a leather jacket to harden it up with a pair of combat booties. And Vice Versa…yes we know the military look is in but it aint cool if you look like your about to go to war in your leather & army jacket..so darlins’ soften it up with a soft, romantic, sheer blouse. And this is my secret to getting dressed every morning. I tell myself “Balance baby Balance….”

Giveaway For The Women On The Go

HAPPY MANIC MONDAY! Actually Manic Monday is the story of my life everyday! During the week Im running around on set all morning styling up different shoots then straight to dinner meetings right after.  Just to make my life easier …I usually like to work around ONE piece and either dress it up or dress it down. So today I decided to work around …. THE RED PANT

As a stylist Im on my feet all day so a pair of flat boots are a must. Trust me when you are standing and running around for 12 hours straight the last thing you want to do is look fabulous in your 5 in stilettos. (can you tell im a mad woman with my mad bedhead hair?) So I dressed these Red Pants down with flat boots, a cropped off the shoulder sweater and a thin button up denim top.

Within 1 minute I am dinner ready! Swapped out my cropped sweater for a nice nude colored blouse (Another obsession of mine is the mixing nudes with red) and fitted blazer and VIOLA! and OH of course..ACCESSORIES is key! When all else fails I love to pile on Gold jewelry..it really takes a simple outfit to another level (yes, even with a plain tshirt & jeans…let the accessories do the work for you!)

The key thing is to PLAN out your outfit the night before..do NOT wait until the morning of (especially if your not a morning person!!).

Where are all my Women On The Go? So here’s a small fun giveaway I will be doing for the Women On The Go. I will be giving away these 2 leaf imprinted bracelets (on my right). I’ve been wearing these bracelets almost everyday and it makes any outfit look CHIC!!
