The Outfit Combination You Haven’t Tried Yet

Outfit inspiration is everywhere, but at what point do you feel like you’ve just really seen it all? That’s where your creativity comes in! Finding looks that you love and then making them your own is really what defines your own personal style. For this post, I styled two outfits using a simple slip dress.  One is styled the classic way and one is styled with my own spin on the trend.

The Classic

By now, you know that turtlenecks and slip dresses go together like peanut butter and jelly- the combination just works! It’s a great way to transition your summer wardrobe into the colder months, and wearing a sweater that’s on the thin-side (like this one here) means you can be covered up but not burning up.

The Twist

So for this look, I took the idea of the turtleneck and slip dress and gave it a little twist of my own. Instead of a sweater or plain tee, I grabbed this gorgeous pale pink blouse (check it out hereto layer under my slip dress! It totally transformed the look and gave it a cool dose of glamour. So if you’re not feeling a turtleneck, try styling your look with a blouse! It’s an updated look on a classic outfit combination!

This is such a cool concept! I typically would go with a lace top, blue camisole slip and black tights to transition it into a winter-friendly outfit for Florida! although probably not for Philadelphia 🙁

Es cierto lo que dices, hay que tomar la tendencia que te gusta y llevarla a tu propio terreno. Me chifla la última propuesta, muy original.

  • Both looks are fabulous, however my slightly more favourite would be the second classic ootd. I’m a huge fan of turtleneck dresses and tops! they just look so stylish and fashionable and as you just showed can be easily styled in some creative ways too!
