Classic Pieces You’ll Reach for Every Fall

When the colder weather finally hits, I suddenly find myself pulling out all of the classic pieces. You know, those timeless investment pieces that you can pull out year after year and always manage to look on point? Well this season, I’m so excited to share that I’ve teamed up with St. John! Not only do they have the most amazing feel-good fashion staples that you’ll find yourself reaching for over and over again, but their Fall 2017 collection is filled with the most gorgeous silhouettes and luxe fabrics; pieces that will help transition any closet perfectly for fall and winter!

A pleated skirt and sweater combination is one of my go-to fall looks. This Lamé Silk Chiffon Metallic Sunburst Pleat Skirt, in particular, is the perfect shade of gold and so mesmerizing. It has almost a pearlescent sheen to it, and when I walk, it has so much movement! I paired it with the Reverse Jersey Cashmere Knit Asymmetrical Sweater, and instead of tucking it in- I let it flow to play with the silhouette and proportions. It’s a great casual look which would work just as well with a cute pair of flats as it does with boots for a night out! It’s super cozy and super chic, which is the perfect combination to transition into the cold!

How absolutely gorgeous is this Asymmetric Hem Cap Sleeve Velvet Dress?! Velvet is here to stay, and this fall must-have is the epitome of effortless glam. The grey color is an amazing alternative to black and I love how beautifully it catches the light. It’s ultra-feminine without being too frilly and the silhouette is light, airy and super flattering on all body types. It’s pretty much the perfect holiday dress! It’s never too early to start thinking about those parties! 😉

These pieces are perfect! Classic pieces are timeless so it’s definitely worth it to splurge a little.
Coincidentally I also wrote a post about 15 fashion staples that are essential to building a classic wardrobe:
A lot of them are items I see you wearing all the time – particularly a white shirt and turtleneck!
Love your style – always an inspiration

It’s amazing how make everything look so chic and classy. Love it. I really like the fact that you didn’t gravitate to pants when thinking about cooler days. My staple would probably be the biker jacket; can’t get enough of it!!!!

  • Alina says:

  • Savannah says:

    That suede dress!! Gorgeous x

  • I feel like St. John has revived themselves again into a fresh and youthful label- which is wonderful, because they really do have beautiful, timeless pieces. Also, I have looked high and low for your boots and can only find the velvet version. Lovely but won’t survive a day in Chicago winters- where can I find a pair, like yours in the leather?

And you look stunning in both ensembles, as always!! <3
