6 Easy Ways to Update Your Summer Look

One of my favorite things about fashion is how something so simple can make such a huge difference. A new nail or lip color, some new shoes, or even doing something a little different with your hair can completely change your look and give you a much needed little pep in your step. I talked it over with the CINCteam and I gathered 6 easy ways to upgrade your look this summer:

1. Nail Color 💅

I love to treat myself to a good manicure now and again, but sometimes there’s just no time to sit around for a couple hours! Doing an at-home mani is a great (and super affordable) way to add a little color to your life. For me, this summer is all about bold colors and fun metallics. Even though I generally stick to neutral colors in my wardrobe, adding a bright pop of blue or fuchsia polish is a great way to incorporate color.

2. A New Hair Style 💁

Have you guys noticed that I’ve been growing out my hair? I’m loving that I have a little more length to play and experiment with these days. Doing something crazy like a dramatic cut or a new color might not be for everyone, but there are little styling changes you can do for a new look. If there’s one product that’s won my heart it’s this anti-humidity sprayIt keeps my hair looking as good as it did when I walked out the door- even on those crazy humid days.  The scent is really nice so it leaves your hair smelling amazing.

PS: Check out this Skinesque Cleanser– it’s a powder!

3. Ditch your Bikini for a One Piece

I love a cute bikini, but recently I’ve been all about one piece bathing suits! They’re flattering, sexy and totally on-trend. I never thought I’d be the girl to reach for a onesie over a bikini, but now I can’t stop. I love how a one piece can hold everything in (I know you know what I mean) and can also act as a chic bodysuit- like I did here!

4. Play with Color

Beyond painting your fingernails, there are so many ways you can incorporate color into your beauty routine. For example, a bright lipstick like this one can completely transform your face. If a bright pigmented color is too bold, try a stain like this one. Another one of my favorite and more subtle ways is to add color is colored eyeliner.

5. Add a Little Sparkle

Sometimes we all need a little sparkle. This summer, I’m going for accessories, especially shoes, that have a lil somethin’ somethin extra.

6. Update Your Accessories

I’ve said it a million times and I’ll say it again: accessories can make or break your outfit. You might remember me talking about this trend here, but the straw/raffia/wicker texture is all the rage for accessories this summer.

How are you guys updating your look this summer? Let me know below!
