When I saw this dress, I immediately fell in love. Its such a classic and timeless (check out this similar one hereand you guys know how much of a sucker I am for a good striped anything piece! Unfortunately, the chilly NYC winter didn’t allow me wear the dress by itself, so I had to get creative.

I grabbed my favorite jeans and my mock neck black sweater to wear as a base. Then, I layered the dress over my sweater and jeans. Remember this post here, where I talked about the new way to wear your jacket? Well, I brought that look to my dress! A few years ago, everyone was draping their jackets over their shoulders without putting their arms through the sleeves, but now it’s all about a little shoulder action!

I finished off the look with my favorite new booties. JK, they’re actually black pumps like these over my tights! Since the shoes were the same black as my tights, they blended together seamlessly. You really couldn’t tell they were tights and heels unless you were looking up close!

Have you tried out the off the shoulder jacket styling trick yet? Let me know below!

Really loving the layering technique that you used in this look <3 The dress is so pretty, but the way you paired with the jeans a turtleneck make is almost seem like a coat 🙂 Loving how versatile this outfit is!
