Summers in LA can get pretty warm. So on days that you’d just rather leave the house naked because it’s so hot, I’ve started reaching for my crop-tops. The trick to wearing crop tops when you’re not at Coachella or at the beach is to play with proportions. I paired this crop top with a pair of high waisted jeans from ASOS and my Sophie Hulme bag for a work (and weather) appropriate look! Not to mention the amazing frayed hem on these jeans are right up my alley, and you all know how much I love my denim! Adding my Vetements mules (similar here) and Adornmonde choker give this outfit the perfect nod to the 90’s.
I love how versatile this crop top is too! I can wear it with high-waisted jeans like I did here, or a pair of high-waisted cut-offs and some espadrilles for weekend errands. I can even dress it up with a sleek pencil skirt and some edgy heels for a fancy dinner or event!

The bag says it all! Btw my ‘long-short’ principle is actually similar to your proportion trick! I always match a crop top with a pair of long trousers or palazzo pants or ripped jeans to balance it out! And I really like you mule! (But jeans sometimes is just too hot on a boiling day isn’t it :p)
