At-Home Workouts Worth Your Time
Another day, another workout to get through, right? Have you found a workout or instructor that you actually love sweating it out with each day? Have you been active at least 5x a week?
If the answer is no, you’re not alone.
We can all agree that the hardest part of working out is actually showing up and doing it.
I’ve said this before, but as much as I would love to think that I’m one of “those people” that naturally wake up full of energy and run a 10K without batting an eye or barely breaking a sweat – I’m not.
So, once you’re mentally ready to workout, all you have to do now is physically get dressed in activewear you feel your best in, and find a workout that a). doesn’t bore you and b). gets your blood pumping!
Now that we’ve all been accustomed to being quarantined for quite some time now, we’ve found some at-home workouts that have been keeping us active and in shape these days!
Keep scrolling to see what some of my friends and I are working out to and wearing these days because correct me if I’m wrong – when you look good, you feel good.
“I’ll walk for about 40 minutes around the neighborhood since there’s a set of stairs by my house and will usually bring Mignon and the girls (if they’re not napping). Other than that, I try and use the peloton at-home when I can.” – Chriselle

“I am a freelance beauty and fashion editor and the co-host of a beauty podcast called Gloss Angeles. I’m currently 25 weeks pregnant, so working out has looked a lot different for me as of late, but I love using the Tone it Up app and the Nike Training Club app. I’m a big fan of Katrina (on TIU) and Kirsty Godso’s (NTC app) programs!
I haven’t bought any maternity workout clothes yet, but thankfully, my Lululemon Align leggings and Flow Y Bra still accommodate my growing bump and new boobs!” – Sara

“My favorite way to get exercise in during shelter at home has been to walk down to the ocean early in the morning. The salty air and sounds of the waves clear my stress and remind me that things will be OK.” – Lauren

I realize I’m in a bad mood for the rest of the day if I didn’t make time to move my body and sweat. One of my top priorities during quarantine was figuring out wtf to cook that day (obviously), finding ways to balance working from home efficiently, and finding high-intensity workouts I can do comfortably at home.

My top at-home workouts I highly recommend doing are from my cousin Ninja Cowboy Fitness, Movement Society, Charlee Atkins, and Popsugar Fitness (thanks for putting me on the last two, Sara)! It’s also important to note that I’m a total maximizer so I love doing HIIT classes in 30-45 minutes to get a really good sweat session in!
Above anything, working out has been super important for my mental health – especially while I’ve been quarantined.
Lastly, if you’re looking to give your face a workout and get a little non-surgical facelift, I highly recommend spritzing your face with a nice face mist (I’m almost done with this one by Cosmedix) pre and post-workout and getting some Gua Sha time in to sculpt your face and get some lymphatic drainage going.

What have you been doing to take care of your body these days? And honestly, if you don’t have the bandwidth to get your heartrate up some days, don’t be so hard on yourself. We’re all doing the best we can.
Until next time,
What do YOU think?
