Spring Capsule Wardrobe - Everything We're Looking Forward to Wearing

We created this story before we were social distancing at home and since we all need some other (and lighter) things to occupy our days than the news, we decided we still wanted to put this story up because whether we like it or not – Spring’s here and we’re still looking forward to wearing our new, fresh pieces even if it’s just for our weekly Zoom meetings.

Blazer: Aritzia
Slipdress: Paige

Here are the three simple things you need to create the perfect capsule wardrobe for spring. We, of course, are very much looking forward to wearing this we’re finally allowed to be outside again and for that reason, we decided to do a little online shopping.

The Base: Dress

Paige Isela Dress

When we need to give our black slipdresses a break, we love reaching for this light blue one. The color is easy to style and reminds us that Spring is in fact, here.

Springtime usually symbolizes warmer weather, easy to wear dresses, flirty shoulders, bronzer, and fun colors. If you didn’t happen to break out your slip dress last year, guess what? They’re still in style this year and will still be in style the year after that.

There’s something so effortless and sultry about a slip dress. They’re easy to throw on, you can add a belt if you want to add more depth to your look, it lowkey makes you feel like Kate Moss, and they pair well with practically every pair of shoes you own.

If it happens to be chillier out, simply throw on an oversized blazer or jacket and voilá: you’re ready to go from your living room all the way to the fridge (only half kidding)! See what some of our favorite spring dress picks are below:

Dresses

  • Reformation Crimini Dress
  • H&M Off-the-Shoulder Dress
  • ASTR THE LABEL Cowl Lick Midi Dress
  • Vero Moda Mascha Chambray Minidress
  • Camila Coelho Chloe Dress
  • All Saints Melody Spirit Slipdress
Capsule wardrobes are the building blocks of any closet and makes getting dressed so easy.

Another way to style your slip dress is to give it a 90’s vibe. Pair it with a classic white tee or a white button-up for a more laid back feeling.

The Layering Piece: Outerwear

Aritzia Oversized Blazer

An oversized blazer is an absolute wardrobe essential these days. Pair it over a dress or jeans and you look completely pulled together.

The best part of a simple base is styling it with your outerwear and shoes. Style your spring dress with an oversized blazer, cardigan, lightweight trenchcoat, or sweater to complement your look depending on your mood. We also recommended throwing an unbuttoned button up on top for a more laid back look.

Outerwear

  • Reformation Major Twill Blazer
  • Nanushka Blair Wrap Front Vegan Blazer
  • H&M Trenchcoat
  • Isabel Marant Etoile Obira Coat
  • Toteme Vinci Rib Cardigan
  • Wilfred Flowy Button Up

The Final Touch: Shoes

LoQ Manola Sandal

Sexy, effortless and comfortable with a chunky heel – this is one of our favorite sandals for spring and summer.

And perhaps the biggest highlight of spring is finally being able to wear your open-toe sandals again and figuring out which new ones you’ll be adding to your shoe collection. You can never have too many, right?

Will your newest additions be strappy? Open toe? Colorful? Neutral? Does it pair well with your future vacation you have planned? The options are endless. Here are some sandals we currently have saved in our shopping carts RN.

Sandals

  • Bezva Leather Sandals
  • LoQ Dora braided leather sandals
  • Topshop Dixie Strappy Sandal
