Top 12 Must-Haves for New Moms
Being a new mom is so overwhelming.
There are so many things you need to buy for a baby. Since a lot of you have been asking what my most used mommy products are, I thought I’d share my top 10 must-haves for new moms! I used some of these products with Chloe 4 years ago and used them again last year when Colette was born, so they definitely have my stamp of approval!
I’m so excited to have teamed up with Walmart to bring you all my must-haves for new moms, they’ve got such an impressive selection of baby products at really amazing prices – which is very important when having children. Every dollar counts, especially with a baby, so you have to make sure it goes a long way. I also love that they have free 2-day shipping on orders over $35 – a true lifesaver when you can’t beat the traffic. Or, if you’re in a hurry, you can order what you need online and pick them up at a local Walmart nearby during the same day – which is amazing when you realize you need diapers or wipes on your way home.
Keep scrolling to check out my list of the top 10 must-haves for new moms:
This is the car seat we used for both Chloe AND Colette! It’s a 4-in-1, so I’ve been able to use this car seat from the newborn stage well into Chloe’s toddler years. It’s really easy to use and there’s zero fuss.
I breastfed both Chloe and Colette for 6 months but introduced them to formula early on to get them used to it. As far as formula goes, I’ve used Enfamil for both the girls and I’ve been so happy with it. Don’t really know life as a mom without it!
This foam mattress was a game-changer for us. When we started sleep training Colette, she would cry endlessly. Once we got this mattress for her crib, she fell asleep so much faster. Anytime we travel with Colette, we make sure to pack this mattress too! Just as long as we have her topper, she sleeps like a baby!
I’ve used a number of cameras, but this is one of my favorites. It’s a wide-angle lens so you can see everything that’s going on, and it also has a really great zoom feature!
As a working mom, this Medela Pump was my saving grace. I traveled with it, slept next to it, drove with it and worked with it! Out of all the pumps, this was the most practical and handy for me. I ended up taking it everywhere!
We use this tub to this day! I love the little net it comes with, so you can comfortably lay your newborn down on it for a bath. As your baby gets older, the net comes off and it can be used as a standard tub! I love that it can easily transition from newborn to toddler!
This was probably one of the best baby purchases I’ve made. It put Colette to sleep so many times and Allen and I couldn’t be more thankful that she loved it so much. During her newborn phase, it was a surefire way to soothe her… she would be entertained for hours on end.
I have a number of these HALO swaddles. I received so many of them as gifts at my baby shower and I’m still using them. At night, it gets quite cold in our house, and we don’t like to blast the heater because it makes the air so dry so we still use the sleep sack to keep Colette nice and warm and help her fall asleep.
A bottle warmer is so important when you’re feeding your baby! Allen and I both really enjoyed this one as it warmed up the milk in seconds.
We STILL use this little guy. It’s the only thing that brings any type of organization to the baby bottle chaos. I don’t know how else to organize the bottle parts without it getting everywhere!
If you travel a lot, this foldable bathtub is a lifesaver. It’s hard to give your baby a bath in a hotel room, so having a lightweight foldable tub to use is so nice!
I have two of these nightlights – one for Chloe and one for Colette! It literally puts my girls (and me, sometimes if we’re being honest here) right to sleep! It has such a soothing white noise to it and different soft lights. The best part? You can control everything with your phone.
