My Simple and Glowy Everyday Makeup Routine – Perfect for Summer!

So many amazing products come across my desk, so when I love one, you know they’re going to be really G-O-O-D.

Honestly, though, you should see my desk right now! I barely have any room to put my laptop on it because there are so many products everywhere. Though it might seem messy… I would like to think of it as more of a beautiful, organized chaos. Having everything out in front of me really helps me when I’m testing and swatching new products. It’s quite true when they say, “out of sight out of mind!” And it’s because of that wonderful desk (un)organization that I came up with my simple and glowy makeup routine that I absolutely LOVE!

While there are tried and true favorites that will always have a spot in my makeup bag (I’m talking about you- Hourglass Eyebrow Pencil and Tom Ford Lip Gelee!) the other day I added a few new products that will no doubt end up being some of my favorites!

Keep scrolling to check out what I’ve been using:

Shiseido Color Smart Day Moisturizer SPF 30

A very important step, if not THE most important step is my SPF Moisturizer from Shiseido! It provides SPF 30, doesn’t feel chalky and provides a lot of hydration without feeling greasy. A lot of SPF moisturizers tend to feel heavy and gross when layered with makeup, but this one is so light and easy to wear under your makeup.

Shiseido Perfecting Stick Concealer

Concealers… what would we do without you! I’ve been using this liquid concealer from Shiseido for a while now, and for some reason, I can’t find it online but the Perfecting Stick Concealer comes as a close second for me. It’s creamy without looking cakey and helps brighten up my under eyes, and covers up any redness I might have around my T-zone and nose.

Shiseido Synchro Skin Radiant Foundation

For foundation, I’ve been reaching for this Synchro Skin Foundation from Shiseido for summer. It’s super light and airy but gives really good coverage! I love that it looks like I’m having a really great skin day when applied, and doesn’t look like I’ve just put on a layer of makeup. Plus it has SPF 20 in it which is surprisingly long-wearing!

Marc Jacobs Dew Drop — 52 Fantasy

One look at this bottle and I fell in love. This liquid highlighter actually feels more like a gel which is really cool. It smells like coconut which means it’s basically “golden hour summer” in a bottle. Besides the fact that it gives a drop-dead gorgeous glow, another reason I’m so into the Dew Drop is the fact that it’s formulated with coconut water which hydrates, refreshes and helps with its staying power. I use this on my cheekbones and anywhere I want to see a little glow. You can also use it all over your face and then build over it with your foundation for a ‘glow from within’ look.

Chiara Ferragni The Flirting Eyeshadow Palette

The one and only Chiara Ferragni released a collaboration with Lancôme and I was so happy to see it on my desk! This palette has everything you could possibly need for a fun and flirty face. The pigments are super rich, and I’m going to have to hide it from Chloe because the second she sees the sparkly pink packaging it will no longer be mine! I used the blush and bronzer out of the palette and it gave a gorgeous subtle glow and light contouring making it perfect for a simple summer makeup look. I can’t wait to play around with the rest of the colors.

Shiseido Micro Liner Ink in Plum 03

This Shiseido liner is straight magic. I love how thin the pencil is, so I can really get into my waterline or do a super thin line along my lash line for a tight cat-eye. While I’ll always have a black and brown liner on hand, this deep plum has been so much fun for summer! It gives a great unexpected pop of color. Since it’s a deep plum, it also gives the definition of a black liner without being as severe. Can’t wait to bring this color into the fall!

Lancôme Ôscillation Power Mascara

This mascara blew me away. It actually vibrates! There’s a little button on the applicator that you press while applying that gently vibrates the mascara brush to seriously lift and separate your lashes. Beyond the fun of the application, the formula is actually really wonderful and doesn’t flake at all.

Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Soft Brunette

I’m sure you’ve seen me talking about this brow pencil on Catching Up With Chris! The formula itself is a mix of wax and powder to give you the perfect brow in such easy application. It looks super natural and is really buildable! I use it in Soft Burnette color to add depth to my dark brows.

Tom Ford Lip Gelee in Sunlit

This might be my favorite lip balm at the moment. Actually, I think it IS my favorite at the moment! You’ve probably seen me talk about it on Instagram stories a few times! It’s such a smooth and comfortable formula which is SUPER hydrating. I’ve got it in Sunlit which is a really subtle orange/peach color that looks SO flattering on. I’ll be wearing this on my lips for a very long time!

Elemis Pro-Collagen Hydro Mist

To finish it all off, this hydro mist from Elemis is amazing. It’s basically like a spray-on serum, which means you’re getting major hydration. It feels great, smells lovely and is a great way to refresh your makeup throughout the day!
