As you know, my ultimate “me time” (sadly or happily?) happens whenever I’m in the shower or alone in my car.
It’s really the only time I get alone besides my long commute! I use it as a time to reflect, brainstorm, and above all else- to try and relax. So, as you can imagine, I’m pretty picky about the products I bring into the shower.
My current shower shelfie is filled with some amazing products – from hair items, face products, scrubs, and more. Since we’re always showing our #shelfies, I thought why not share our shower products shelfies as well? Keep scrolling to check out what I use to take care of the skin on my entire body.
Earlier this year, I wrote about how after 30+ years, I FINALLY understand how to take care of my hair- click here to read the post– and it’s definitely changed my relationship with my mane. If you don’t know- my hair is really coarse and thick, which is extremely hard to manage. Now that I have a grasp on how to take care of it, it’s so much easier for me to experiment with new products.
Oribe Shampoo & Conditioner
I’m currently loving the Oribe Gold Lust Repair Shampoo & Conditioner! It’s on the pricier side but wow- my hair has been looking so amazing! These products are super condensed and one pump is rich enough to lather and condition. Remember that when you shampoo, to massage the shampoo onto your scalp and let the water rinse the shampoo to the rest of your hair (this helps to ensure your hair and scalp doesn’t get dry). I even turned some of the girls on the CINCteam onto them as well. If you want to give it a try without splurging for the large sizes, check out the travel sizes!
Nature Lab Perfect Smooth Conditioner
This oil-infused Nature Lab conditioner is super moisturizing! Whenever my hair is feeling a little burnt out, I’ll use this conditioner! It’s got Argan stem cells that help reduce breakage and increase smoothness. Did I mention it’s under $15?
Ouai Clean Shampoo
The Clean Shampoo from Ouai is super gentle- but it really helps detoxify and cleanse. If I’m ever shooting, or end up with a lot of product in my hair- I like to use this shampoo to get a deep clean.
Nexxus Hair Mask
Hair masks are great to put on every few weeks or so to give your hair a little more love and hydration. This one from Nexxus is super affordable and I love how silky smooth my hair feels after I use it!
Christophe Robin Cleansing & Volumizing Paste
You might remember this volumizing paste from this post here! Scalp health is super important and can really affect your hair health. It’s super important to get all the product build-up from your hair follicles that’s been built up throughout the day. This paste acts as an exfoliator and a cleanser for your hair. Use it in lieu of your shampoo 1-2x a week.
Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse
Another one of my hair saviors, this ACV rinse helps strengthen my hair and really nourishes leaving your hair feeling SO amazing. This rinse is also really great if you happen to have colored hair! Use it in lieu of your shampoo for those days you don’t want to strip your hair of all its oils but want a wash.
This styling oil is great on dry hair and damp hair. When I’m rocking my natural hair sans heated styling tools- I like to work this into damp hair to help control my frizz. It makes my hair so shiny!

When it comes to body care, I love finding products that are as nourishing as they are luxe. I also love getting a good exfoliation, too! If you remember this post here, I talked about how good it feels to give your body a scrub down. The skin on your body, much like your face, can start to accumulate dead skin cells and start to look dull.
Ouai Scalp & Body Scrub
This scalp + body scrub is such a great double duty product. It works great for scalp exfoliation and it feels so nice on your body as well! It uses exfoliating sugar crystals to scrub off all the dead skin.
If you want to try something different, check out how cool this exfoliating brush is! With silicone bristles, it uses kinetic vibration to exfoliate your whole body. If you suffer from breakouts on your body- this is great for clearing out your pores.
Nécessaire Body Wash
The Nécessaire body wash is so amazing- even Allen uses it! The formula is super gentle and non-irritating, plus it’s made with luxe oils—marula, cacay, and meadowfoam for super soft and nourished skin! I like it in the sandalwood scent.
Aerin Luxuriant Body Wash
This body wash is so luxe! I use this when I feel like treating myself- it smells like an absolute dream. Allen always compliments me on how nice I smell after the shower when I use it.
Frank Body Coffee Scrub
This scrub is an old favorite, and I really recommend it! Especially if you’re not looking to spend too much money on a scrub since it’s only $17. It’s made with coffee grinds and sea salt as the exfoliants, and cold-pressed Sweet Almond Oil and Vitamin E for added nutrients. Your skin feels tighter, looks brighter and overall amazing!
A face cleanser is a very important first step for any skincare routine, and it’s a step that I take into the shower! I like having the added effect of the steam from the hot water to help open up my pores as it really helps the cleanser get all of the gunk, makeup, and pollution out from that day.
I also use my showers as a time to do face masks- especially while I shave or exfoliate. It’s like I have a mini spa right inside my shower!
Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask
The mask I’ve been using recently is this one from Tata Harper! It works like a peel to give an instant glow. It’s made with pomegranate enzymes, pink clay, and beetroot extract, which all which help clear those pores, boost hydration and help smooth the texture of your skin.
Tatcha Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser
I really love using oil cleansers, and this one from Tatcha is so nice! It literally melts away any makeup and impurities on my skin from a long day. It’s made with Japanese camellia oil which is full of vitamins and nourishing omegas. It’s also very gentle, which makes it great for sensitive skin. You know I’m all about double cleansing!
Youth to the People Superfood Cleanser
Another cleanser I emptied and got another one of is this one from Youth to the People. It’s a vegan gel cleanser that’s made with superfoods like kale and spinach. It’s formulated with tons of antioxidants and leaves my skin feeling soft, nourished and makeup free! It also smells so good.
Votary Super Seed Cleansing Oil
The newest cleansing oil on my shower shelfie is this one from Votary. It acts as an amazing makeup remover – especially that little bit of eye makeup that sticks around after you cleanse! It’s very gentle and is formulated with 22 botanical extracts. Plus, it helps regulate sebum production (the stuff that causes pimples!) and is anti-inflammatory.
Dr. Barbara Sturm Enzyme Cleanser
I’m sure you remember me talking about how amazing enzyme cleansers are, and if you don’t- be sure to check out this post here! Enzymes help gently exfoliate your skin, help with reducing pore sizes, congestion and break down any makeup you might have left on your skin. I use this one from Dr. Barbara Strum about twice a week after my usual cleanser. Just add a nickel size amount of powder to your hands after you’re done cleansing, add a little water, lather and voilá! Your enzyme cleanser is ready.
