Happy Day 3 of the 12 Days of Chriselle!
As you guys probably know, Allen and I had a ton of renovations going on at our house over the last few months. Also, mind you, while I was pregnant with Colette! I know, I know – so crazy!
So many of you have been asking to see the kitchen, especially after showing bits and pieces of it on social media! I feel like as my life has gotten busier, I’ve been craving more clean and simple styles, and I feel like the kitchen is a perfect example of that. We completely gutted our old kitchen and went in a more Scandinavian and minimalistic direction.
It’s basically double the size of what our original kitchen was! We extended the island and kept the colors neutral. The island also has a breakfast table attached to it so it gives us a lot more room to cook and entertain. I think it’s sleek and modern but still homey, which is perfect timing given the holidays.
Allen had three requests for our new kitchen:
- a huge wine fridge (naturally)
- a smart fridge
- a dishwasher (he’s in charge of dishes from now on)!
I had no clue I would love having a smart fridge as much as I do! It has made my life so much easier AND you can see what’s inside the fridge with the touch of an app which is perfect for us when we forget our grocery list. We partnered up with Samsung to help us completely tie our kitchen together. Not only with the fridge but with our oven as well.
The Family Hub can basically do everything. You can use it to play music and create a grocery list. We used the ‘Grocery List’ feature to write out everything we needed to buy for the many holiday dinners we were hosting, and since it syncs up to an app on our mobile phones, Allen and I are able to can access it from anywhere!
We even sync up our calendars so we all know what’s going on in each other’s lives. Chloe loves it because she can draw mommy and daddy pictures and she can pull up her favorite videos on it!
The Flex Duo Range Oven is beyond perfect for holiday cooking. It has digital controls which means everything is easy to use and very clear. Plus, it has this cool Smart Divider so you can cook two different things at the same time, at different temperatures! Another feature I love is how safe it is- you can lock the controls so little hands don’t come wandering by turning anything on.
Being home in our new kitchen with these Samsung appliances is so amazing. Allen has been cooking so much that it’s even inspired me to help from time to time (I’m notoriously not that great of a cook)!
Thanks to our partnership with Samsung, we were able to make a generous donation to the amazing No Kid Hungry organization. On top of that, in the spirit of the holidays, two lucky readers will be able to win a $150 gift card!
