Freezer Smoothie Packs 6 Ways

Hey everyone! It’s Tieghan again from Half Baked Harvest. I am so excited to be back on The Chriselle Factor today to share these super delicious and easy to make smoothies! I love a good smoothie, preferably one packed with fruits, veggies, healthy fat filled nut butters, and protein-packed Greek yogurt. Smoothies are a great way to pack a bunch of nutrients all into one drink, and these freeze smoothie packs are perfect for busy mornings when you don’t have time to prep your ingredients.

Here’s how these smoothie packs work. Add all your smoothie ingredients, minus the milk, to freezer bags and freeze. When you’re ready to prepare your smoothie, just empty the contents of your pack into a blender and add milk (I love using almond or coconut). Depending on how the fruit freezes, you may need to break the chunks of fruit up a bit while still in the bag.

This just helps to make it a little less difficult for your blender. These fun smoothie packs could not be more perfect for a simple on-the-go breakfast. They’re both healthy and delicious, not to mention so easy to prep. In total, it probably took me around thirty to forty minutes to prep all six of these smoothie packs. I’d say that’s pretty good for six days worth of healthy breakfasts or snacks!

CINNAMON BANANA

I credit this flavor all to Caitlin (my brother Kai’s girlfriend). She was telling about this cinnamon banana smoothie that she makes all the time and I pretty much decided right then and there that I needed to make it too. It’s simple, but DELISH.

+ 1 ripe banana peeled + cut into chunks
+ 2 tablespoons hemp seeds
+ 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon or more to taste
+ 1/2 teaspoon vanilla bean powder or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
+ 1 cup Wet Ingredient: coconut flavored almond milk plus more if needed to thin

PEACHES AND CREAM

This flavor is inspired by the delicious late summer peaches and by my brother Brendan’s love of all thing peaches and cream. I also added mango to this, cause well, both Bren and I LOVE mango. Plus I just thought it worked really well. IT DOES.

+ 1 cup sliced peaches
+ 1/2 cup diced mango chunks
+ 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
+ 1 tablespoon honey
+ 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
+ 1 cup Wet Ingredient: coconut flavored almond milk plus more if needed to thin

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER BANANA

Um, do I need to say more? My cousin Abby was all about this one, and can you blame her? Packed with peanut butter, Nutella (yes, Nutella!), banana and creamy almond milk. Honestly, it is SO GOOD.

+ 1 ripe banana peeled + cut into chunks
+ 2 dates pitted
+ 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
+ 1 tablespoon rounded cocoa powder or Nutella
+ 2 teaspoons maca powder or 1/2 teaspoon vanilla bean powder or 1 teaspoon vanilla
+ 1 cup Wet Ingredient: coconut flavored almond milk plus more if needed to thin

PINA COLADA

Inspired by my love of all things pineapple, this smoothie is a combo of strawberries + pineapple. It is sweet, creamy, and basically just PERFECTION.

+ 1 ripe banana peeled + cut into chunks
+ 1 cup pineapple chunks
+ 1/2 cup sliced strawberries
+ 1/4 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
+ 1 cup Wet Ingredient: coconut flavored almond milk plus more if needed to thin

TROPICAL GREEN MONSTER

If I’m going to do a green smoothie, it’s going to be sweet. In my mind, that means all the tropical flavors. Say hello to pineapple, mango, banana, and orange. BRING IT ON.

+ 1 banana peeled + cut into chunks
+ 1 cup cubed pineapple
+ 1/2 cup blueberries
+ 1 cup fresh spinach
+ 1/4 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
Wet Ingredients:
+ 1/2 cup orange juice
+ 1 cup coconut flavored almond milk plus more if needed to thin

WILD BERRY BRAZILIAN

Gotta give this one to Lyndsie (Brendan’s girlfriend). She totally told me to create this flavor, and oh my gosh, she sure freaking knows her smoothies. This is a combo of acai and fresh berries. YUM.

+ 1 frozen acai packet
+ 1 banana peeled + cut into chunks
+ 2 cups mixed berried
+ 1 cup Wet Ingredient: coconut flavored almond milk plus more if needed to thin

To make each smoothie, add the contents of your smoothie bag to a blender, then add all wet ingredients. Blend until smooth, adding more almond milk if needed to thin, then enjoy!

Which one are you going to try first? Until next time,
