HAPPY 2018!!! Hope you guys had a fantastic New Year’s Eve and it was one to remember! So since today is the official first day of a brand new year, I’m going to tell you something you probably weren’t expecting to hear: DITCH THOSE RESOLUTIONS!
I’m sure I’m not the only one to say that I never follow through with my resolutions, so today I’m going to share with you what DOES work. For me, it’s all about SETTING INTENTIONS. The biggest difference between Resolutions and Intentions is that resolutions are mainly focused on “DOING,” whereas Intentions are focused on “BEING.” Resolutions can come and go, but when you set the right intention it becomes a part of you and a lifestyle.
Don’t get me wrong… there is nothing wrong with setting GOALS. In fact, with the right intention, more than often than not, you will reach your goal! Sometimes it’s all about viewing your goal in a different light and wording it differently so it can become a positive “intention” instead. For example, instead of saying “I’m going to lose 10 lbs this year and go to the gym 5 times a week,” you can set your intention “to honor and respect my body.” Setting intentions will allow you to be present and help you maintain a healthy outlook on your goals throughout the year… instead of giving yourself a hard time if you missed going to the gym that one time.

With that said, I wanted to share are my intentions for 2018 with you all:
I intend to have a healthy relationship with my body, mind, and soul.
I intend to be present in the moment.
I intend to trust the process of life.
I intend to focus on my breath.
I intend to remain positive through stress.
I intend to let go of worrying.
I intend to be thankful for the little things and maintain an attitude of gratitude.
