NYFW Day 1

Happy New York Fashion Week! This season, I decided to do something a little different. Instead of posting my fashion week content a few weeks later, I’ll be sharing my NYFW experience in real time! That’s right, you’ll get to go behind-the-scenes, see the outfits and all of the excitement every day at 3pm PST. So between my snapchat (@chrisellelim) and instagram it’s going to be like you’re at fashion week with me! So here’s a peek into my NYFW Day 1.

9 AM : Cinq a Sept

Breakfast with a show! The Cinq a Sept runway show was absolutely gorgeous (and the food was delicious)! I think all runways shows should come with coffee and croissants from now on. The collection had amazing layering, luxe details and the coolest leather jacket I’ve ever seen. One of everything please!

11 AM : Street Style

I can’t tell you how good it feels to be back on the streets of New York! Something about the energy of the city make shooting street style so easy. I’m wearing a full Cinq a Sept look and I can officially say I love bell sleeves! Both the jacket and the pants had exaggerated hems which is the perfect unexpected detail for a street style look. And can we talk about this print? To die for!

12 PM : Rachel Zoe Studio Visit

Around mid-day, my team and I went to go visit our friends at Rachel Zoe to check out their new collection. I really wanted this pink dress that I saw from the collection. (Okay I really wanted everything from their new collection …)

3 PM : Carolina Hererra Fitting

Went to beautiful Carolina Herrera store on Madison Ave for my fitting, and I can’t wait to share with you guys the outfit I decided to go with!

7 PM : Estée Lauder Event

My first stop of the night was the incredible Estée Lauder Event. I love seeing my Estée family and catching up with my loves Liu Wen, Joan Smalls & Irene Kim!

8 PM : Cartier Mansion Event

If you followed along on snapchat, you know I attended an amazing event hosted by Cartier for the grand opening of their mansion on Fifth Avenue. I wore this gorgeous Cinq a Sept slip dress with lace and velvet detail, some Schultz booties and the most decedent jewels from Cartier. I didn’t want the night to end!
