Slip dresses are all the rage right now, but remember when they were worn under dresses instead of just by themselves? My slip is slowly becoming one of the most versatile pieces in my closet. Either wearing it by itself or layering it, it is definitely a must have for this summer! I’ve got few that have either come with dresses or that I’ve gotten separately so I’ve got a good variety of lengths. I’ve worn this gorgeous lace shift dress from Jamé (similar here!) with a black slip and a nude slip so I love its versatility! I choose to wear a bit of a longer slip with this dress because the dress itself is pretty short. If I bent over to pick something up, you’d totally see my butt. Lol! I feel like having this nude silk slip in particular visible under the dress also gives a bit of feminine luxury.

As I talked about here, my go-to look for summer is a LWD because white doesn’t absorb as much sunlight as black does, and keeps you a lot cooler. But, a dress like this is the perfect summer LBD! Yep, even with 3/4 sleeves and a mock turtleneck! Because the lace is so large, it’s probably the breeziest dress I own! It’s also the easiest to transition day to night. I styled it for work with my lace up Gianvito Rossi heels, my black Carolina Herrera bag (similar here!) and my sunnies of the moment by Gentle Monster! But for a night out. just throw on some sleek black heels and a vampy lip (my go-to has been this Bobbi Brown Art Stick!) and you’re good to go!
