Getting Dressed in 5 Minutes

One of my favorite looks from fashion week was my very last outfit of fashion month & it’s what I wore to the Miu Miu show! I got invited very last minute so I had to pull a look together in pretty much five minutes. All of the pieces I’m wearing are pieces that I packed (so thank god I got my luggage back)! This outfit was very much Miu Miu inspired. What I love about this brand is that it puts a bit of fantasy in the every day and it’s all about playing up with the accessories. For the show, I paired these RE/DONE jeans with this super cute Storets button down. Though structured, I love this blouse because it is very flirty and feminine because of the ruffle. It adds a little fun to a basic blouse. I paired it with my Miu Miu glasses, which I usually reserve for home. I wear these when I take my contacts out at the end of the day, but I took this opportunity to work them into my look! This was actually my first time wearing my glasses out as an accessory and I have to say I’m very happy I did so! I wasn’t feeling too confident about it at first, but I loved the way it looked and I’ll probably do it more often!

Seeing the geek chic look everywhere from the runway to street style definitely inspired me to wear them out! So if you have a pair of glasses at home that you never wear out of the house, style an outfit around them! You might surprise yourself. If you don’t need glasses, pick up a pair of faux frames (like these) for the same look! They really play up an outfit and add a cute touch to a simple look.

So the next time you are pressed for time to get dressed here are some tips. 1.) Rely on your accessories to create a unique outfit- throw on a hat (a beret in this case) 2.) Throw on a bold red lip (especially if you don’t have time to do a full face of makeup) and 3.) Use your reading glasses as your accessories. This is also a great way to hide your dark circles/tired eyes and/or if you don’t have enough time to do your eye makeup. Happy Wednesday!
