Staying warm and chic in a leather jacket!

The flowers Allen sent me for Valentine’s Day.

Breakfast in bed on a cold Valentine’s Day morning!

The view of the city from our hotel window …

I loved this cool tree art in the lobby.

My team and I ate here and we loved the decor and open concept!

Thank you Grand Hyatt for the delicious chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine’s Day!

Thigh High Boots

These thigh-high boots were definitely meant for walking and keeping my legs warm!

Although I love traveling, being away from home can be quite rough. So one of my top priorities when planning for fashion week is finding a great place to stay! My team and I were lucky enough to call the Grand Hyatt in NYC home during fashion week. My first ever Grand Hyatt experience was in Hong Kong and I was thoroughly impressed with the service and attention to detail the hotel provided for their guests, and this time was no different!

Because it was such a large hotel I loved that the rooms were a bit bigger than the average New York City hotel room. And considering the 10 suitcases of clothes for fashion week I had with me, it was great! Since it was so cold in NYC, even colder than Couture Week in Paris, all of my coats had to work overtime. Can you guess which jacket I reached for the most to keep warm? Yep, the men’s leather jacket I picked up at the airport on my way to Paris! A leather jacket, especially an oversized one, is great for layering during those cold winter days. Be sure to shop my picks down below!

One of my favorite parts of the hotel was the Grand Club that was open pretty much all day on the 16th floor. It had complimentary breakfast and snacks so my team and I were able to refuel throughout the day! They offered everything from water to wine and of course coffee … a girl’s gotta stay hydrated during fashion week, right? If you follow me on snapchat (@chrisellelim) you’d remember that my average night didn’t end until around midnight. I loved that they had a 24 hour cafe downstairs where I could pick up a quick bite of food or replenish any toiletries that I didn’t have time to get during the day! The location was perfect too. It’s centrally located to every where I needed to get in Manhattan. The hotel also had multiple entrances which was great when the team and I needed to get to shows on time! It’s also connected to the iconic Grand Central Station, which is where I bought these beautiful flowers!

If you guys are traveling to New York for the first time with a big group I highly recommend this hotel. The service is great, not to mention it’s conveniently located to everything in New York. Thank you Grand Hyatt for hosting my team and I! We will be back soon … once the weather is warmer that is!

I’m also really excited to announce that the Grand Hyatt is going to offer all of you a special 15% off your booking and a surprise #LivingGrand welcome gift when you use the code ‘LGNYC’ to book at the Grand Hyatt New York! All you have to do is sign up for the Hyatt Gold Passport program! Happy Wednesday!
