Flowers have always played a big role in my life. Growing up I would watch my mom spend hours in our garden planting an endless amount of roses. She used to make me garden with her during my spring and summer break, and I absolutely dreaded it. Oh, the things we despised when we were young, but learned to appreciate with age. & now fast forward, having flowers at my work desk is a must!
I found this striped coat a few weeks back and was instantly drawn to the pastel colors and the oversized loose silhouette. I love how the oversized nature of this coat offsets the girliness of it all. The colors on this coat made me instantly think of my mom’s obsession with roses. And can we take a moment and talk about this caged mesh baby doll dress? The babydoll was never a favorite silhouette of mine (not even in the 90’s!!), but for some reason I was really drawn to this dress. Possibly my obsession with caged mesh pieces or the delicate sweetheart neckline that won me over? It’s the epitome of the perfect spring dress.

I love this particular type of mesh fabric just because it gives dresses an elegant yet edgy quality. I was never a fan of the babydoll dress either, but this particular one looks great on you. ^^
