5 Favorite // Foundations

I have pretty clear skin so I don’t need too much cover up usually, but when I do photoshoots and shoot videos I definitely love having a great foundation I can rely on to give me a dewy silky look. Here is a review on some different foundations that I wear on the daily and on photoshoots to give you guys an idea of the amazing coverage you can all have!

Giorgio Armani Silk Foundation

Pro: Silky coverage, Smells AMAZING

Con: Best results for dry skin, not oily

I love how light this foundation is, and I can build my coverage up to however much I want. And this foundation makes my skin feels so luxurious because it smells so good! My favorite thing is when you can’t tell when you’re wearing a foundation, and this foundation gives my skin a dewy and silky glow after. And the best part is that this foundation looks great with flash photography. It doesn’t make my face white or washed out, so it’s definitely my go to foundation for red carpet and formal events! PS. If you have oily skin you guys should try coverage & using a primer for the best results with this foundation!

NARS Tinted Moisturizer

Pro: Helps reduce blemishes, has SPF

Con: Hard to match color

This is a great for daily wear because it also has SPF in it. (And living in sunny socal that’s a huge plus for me.) I like using this especially during the summer when I go out for lunches and meetings because it’s a light coverage and gives me a fresh faced look! The best thing about this moisturizer is that it has properties in it to help improve your skin! And it’s always great to get all the help you can get right?

L’oreal Paris True Match

Pro: Easy to apply, great coverage

Con: Can look cakey

This foundation goes on very smoothly (it’s very liquidy), but has almost a soft powder finish. It’s also a great daily foundation but it definitely has more coverage than the NARS moisturizer. A little goes a long way with this product and if you have redness this product definitely helps with coverage without looking heavy. Because this foundation is so runny, it’s very easy to apply too much and have it look cakey so be careful!

Makeup Forever High Def Foundation

Pro: Invisible on & off camera

Con: Not for oily skin

This is another foundation that I love using for photoshoots because it’s invisible on and off camera. It gives my face great coverage and I have a flawless airbrush look. I use this especially if I know they’re getting a super closeup of my face for shoots! This foundation doesn’t give my face a cakey look and it lasts for a long time.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua

Pro: Lightweight, Natural coverage

Con: Too light

This is a great day to day foundation. It provides light coverage which I prefer because my skin doesn’t feel heavy and gross at the end of the day. I love this as a day to day foundation because it’s incredibly hydrating and my skin feels refreshed at the end of the day! Since this is also water based, it can go on a little thin so I recommend investing in a good foundation brush to really blend it into your skin!
