The most challenging thing I find about working in fashion is staying creative. It’s funny because when I first started as a stylist, I had so many new ideas because things were still fresh. But now after 5 years, I’ve realized that creativity is almost like a muscle you have to work on. It won’t always come naturally, and sometimes you have to consciously make an effort for creativity to come.
I find that it helps a lot to surround yourself with inspiring people who can lift you up and keep you inspired. In Monday meetings with my team, I love hearing them share their creative inspirations. And like I mentioned before, another way I stay inspired is reading from magazines. Even though it may be tedious, looking at what your industry is currently doing is such an important practice to get into if you want to excel beyond yourself. I also love going out with my girlfriends and living real life outside of what I do. Sometimes it’s helpful talking to people who don’t do what I do because a lot of my creativity comes from observing and talking to people that don’t do what I do.
There’s this idea that some people have the “creative gene” while others don’t, but I really don’t believe in that. All it takes is reminding yourself that creativity can come to everyone. That’s why lately I’ve been obsessed with this charm from PANDORA’s ESSENCE COLLECTION. Isn’t it also perfect that the creativity charm is in gold? As you guys know, I love collecting jewelry that has meaning, and this PANDORA bracelet is definitely special to me.

This week is almost over, but I’d just like to remind everyone that all of us can be creative if we continue and strive to work on that creativity muscle!
This Saturday I”m hosting a meet and greet at the Pandora Store at Santa Monica place. I’d love to meet you all in person because it really puts things into perspective for me and helps me create better content for you guys. Thank you so much for all your support so far and would love see all your beautiful and creative faces this Saturday.

Peter Tsueda passed away in a fatal accident away from his country and his two young sons cannot gather enough money within such a short period of time to fly their daddy’s body home. Their family is now raising money online so that the two boys can see their daddy for the last time (they aim at USD $13200.) Please donate and share this message with your friends if you can. There are three days left and they need a few more thousand dollars to reach the goal. If everyone donates a dollar, it will already be a great help to them.

I always have a love hate relationship with Pandora. Sometimes I find it attractive and exquisite, other times its just plain chunky and manly to me. But after seeing how to stack your Pandora bracelets, I totally change my mind. None of my peers did that and by stacking your bracelets makes it even more chic. Think I’m gonna head to the nearest Pandora store later.
By the way, thanks for the tips on squeezing creative juices as I do think mine is drying up. Will try them steps and see how it goes… Step 1, do not stay at home 24/7!!

I love this collaboration Chriselle. I usually prefer really simple accessories and not very into charms but these charms from Pandora have such a simple, classic quality about them. They look like something my grandma would wear and also something I’d love to pass on to my daughter. That’s true timelessness.
