The Craziest (But Best) Week Ever

What a whirlwind this past week has been. Words cannot express how overjoyed I am by your response to the #ChrisellexJOA collection! I love seeing how you guys style the pieces, so please keep taking photos and tagging me on Instagram! I will never get tired of seeing this!

Between a super fun launch party, a crazy launch day (you guys broke the Nordstrom site!) a delicious team brunch (complete with a custom drink called ‘The Chriselle’ thank you South Coast Plaza for hosting us!) and an amazing fashion show and meet and greet (thank you so much Nordstrom and J.O.A!)– this past week was non-stop! So, I wanted to create this post so that I can remember this week forever and to show you guys a little bit of what went on behind the scenes from the CINCteam this past week! And I can’t say this enough but… THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

(How cute does Camila look in this blazer?)

Wednesday was such an incredibly fun day! I had a little launch party for the line and so many of my dear friends showed up. I had such a great time catching up with everyone and chatting about the line. It was the first time I got to see my pieces out in the real world, and not just in the office, so you can only imagine how excited I was!

Naturally, the whole team was there too! They’re all wearing pieces from Chriselle x JOA! I love how they styled it to show their personalities!

The best kind of work break is playing dress-up with your team! HannahLaurenCandice & Jane raided the collection after lunch last week and had way too much fun. I love how they styled it!

Hannah (on the left) picked the fun and flirty crop top. She loves to get a good bang for her buck, so she loves how she can style it in so many different ways! She’s wearing the top in an XS!

Lauren (on the right), who’s 8 months pregnant wore the oversized boss-lady blazer in a medium! I’ve been getting so many mommies-to-be asking me if they can wear the line, and you totally can!

Candice (left) threw on the artsy and casual overalls, which is pretty much the office favorite! She’s wearing a size small and I love how she styles them with a sweater underneath sometimes!

Jane (right) wore the cream trench-dress to complete her cool neutral #OOTD. Her style is on the edgy side, so I love how she took such a feminine dress and gave it her cool-girl factor.

A HUGE thank you to South Coast Plaza for hosting the team for an amazing brunch before the fashion show and meet and great! It’s so great to be able to have moments like that with everyone from the team to celebrate all of our hard work. I decided to wear this gorgeous yellow floral dress from my collection (you can shop it here)!

So have you guys gotten your hands on your very own Chriselle x JOA piece yet? If you haven’t, CLICK HERE to shop! Let me know which piece you decided to get down in the comments below! Have a great day, guys!

Your collection is beautiful I was so heartbroken that it DOES NOT seem to fit anyone that would normally wear a L or XL. Despite having those sizes available. I tried on many items at the Nordstrom in Walnut Creek. It was exciting to see the pieces up close and personal I honestly wanted to get four different pieces. Thankfully I tried everything on before purchasing but wow. The trench dress in L did not even close, the XL “fit” but the top button puckered and it was not flattering. In just about every store my size is a Large, a few places I have to size up for a more relaxed fit but the yellow crop top which was probably the item I wanted the most, I could not zip the back in L, and the XL was pretty painful once I was sinched in.

This line is gorgeous but definitely only meant to fit properly on a thinner frame.

  • Molly Brennan says:

Hi Chriselle! I ordered the long sleeved yellow dress from Nordstrom, and while the print and fabric was beautiful, the fit seems to be off for us petite girls. I saw similar reviews to my own. Sadly, I had to return this item as it was tight in the bust and waist, but if I sized up it would have been too baggy everywhere else. Petite and more specific sizing would be awesome! It would be best to have 2, 4, 6 etc., rather than S, M, L etc. Just providing some constructive criticism because they pieces are beautiful, but the fit needs a bit of fine tuning. Thanks!
