Beauty Supplements 101

Do you guys ever suffer from decision fatigue? Well, if you do, you’re not alone! These days, there are so many different types of products, vitamins, and overall choices out there to be made that all promise to do something great for you… am I right? Well, the latest beauty obsession that you can find in each and everyone’s Pill Box here on the CINC team are beauty supplements!

We tried and tested a lot of beauty supplements out there these past few weeks and rounded up the ones that actually made a noticeable difference on our skin. Tested on every skin type at the office (sensitive skin included), here’s the list of what supplements made the cut and why.

The Skin Food 

You all know how much I love Dr. Sturm products so when I heard that she came out with a beauty supplement, I was all about it. The supplements claim to contain the “fountain of youth” and they’re not wrong! Powered by purslane, aka the “fountain of youth enzyme,” these supplements are easily absorbed by the body to improve natural production of your skin’s hyaluronic acid, neutralize the attack of free radicals and protect your body against the natural aging process. We saw our skin was more vibrant after 2 weeks!

The Collagen Booster

Q: What exactly is collagen?

A: Collagen is a protein in the body that makes up a large part of our skin, hair, and nails.
The older we get, the less collagen our skin produces and it’s never too early to start protecting the collagen in your skin. Having more collagen in your regimen also helps you combat facial lines and wrinkles.

The Beauty Gummies

For those that prefer a little afternoon sugar, these Beauty Gummies are perfect for you. They taste like candy but are full of:

Biotin – which helps your body metabolize fats and protein which are essential for healthy hair, nails and skin cells
Vitamin C – aids in the production of collagen for that youthful glow.
Vitamin E – works to block free radicals from the body, which play a large part in the aging process to help reduce wrinkles.

A LA favorite, the team likes to add Moon Juice’s Beauty Dust to their morning coffee or smoothies. It’s an adaptogenic* blend of transformative super-herbs and pearl that help to enhance your skins elasticity and help the body cope with stress. Did it work? Hell yes! After using this dust religiously for 2.5 weeks, we saw that our skin was significantly glowing from within and our body reacted to levels of stress better.

Bee Pollon

Another tip we have to share with you is to add bee pollen to your smoothies or yogurt. Consuming local bee pollen keeps your skin looking younger and glowing, helps detoxify the body, aids in digestion and also helps with your allergies thus making your skin feel calm and not irritated.
