All of this dry weather can really take a toll on my skin, but it also dries out my hair and my scalp, too! Though I still live by my hair-care holy grail (if you haven’t seen it, click here!) I rotate a few more moisture-intense products during the colder, drier months to keep my hair shiny and healthy! Keep scrolling to discover my winter hair necessities:
Just like face masks, I can’t get enough of hair masks! This one by David Mallett is designed for dry to normal hair which is perfect for my coarse hair. It delivers tons of moisture and leaves my hair feeling extra soft! I like to wear a hair mask when I’m answering emails at night!

Have you guys ever heard about a pre-shampoo treatment? It’s kind of like a hair mask in a sense that you put it on your hair before you jump in the shower, but this is specifically designed to help bring damaged hair back to life and something you use before you shampoo. I use it when I feel like my hair could use a little extra love- especially if I’ve been using my straightener a lot or in more polluted cities.
Shop: Pre-Shampoo Treatment
In the same line of the pre-shampoo, this Oribe Gold Lust shampoo and conditioner is life changing! Though it’s designed for damaged hair, I love using it in the winter to keep up my hair’s moisture and shine. Not to mention the fact that it smells divine!

Shop: Conditioner
A good hair oil is totally underrated. It brings new life to your hair and gives you instant hydration and shine. This oil, in particular, is made with sunflower and coconut oil, plus it adds UV protection (nothing like that harsh winter sunshine!)
Shop: Hair Oil
Ouai products have my heart, and this Smooth Spray is no different! It’s basically a heat protectant that you spray it on your damp hair before going in with heat (blow dryer, curler, straightener, etc.)! It creates a layer of protection and makes your hair look silky, shiny and smooth!
Shop: Smooth Spray
So you guys know you’re not supposed to wash your hair every day, right? I try to wash mine every three days or so, but when the temperature drops outside the LAST thing I want to is have cold wet hair! So, dry shampoo to the rescue! This one by Bumble and Bumble is great plus it instantly adds texture and shine.

Sometimes there’s something nice to look forward to during the winter season, but then I remember how drying for the scalp the air can be! I’ve finally tried the dry shampoo from B&B and I must say that it is downright amazing! Cheers! x
I’ve heard a lot about the Playa Oil.

Great post! I personally try to stay away from hair products that aren’t organic or natural. My hair is sensitive so the more natural the better. I typically use a coconut oil hair mast once a week or hot oil treatment for moisturizer. I find that that’s enough for my hair.
