24 Hours in Tokyo

I feel like I’ve been traveling so much lately! As you might remember from my Instagram, I was able to spend 24 hours in Tokyo! It was my first time in the city and I totally fell in love. The food, the people, the culture- everything was nothing short of amazing! At this point, I’ve turned packing in a carry on into a science. So what did I pack for 24 hours in Tokyo? Keep scrolling to find out!

CLOTHES

Though I was gone from LA for a few days, I was actually only in Tokyo for 24 hours, and since I went with my friends at Valentino, I knew I didn’t need to pack much beyond my go-to basics which included a good cable knit sweater (see it here) some culottes, a turtleneck, a skirt and a great pair of jeans. Being able to have good strong separates that I can mix and match depending on my mood (and the weather!) make packing so much easier. Plus, keeping everything in the same color palette helps when pairing looks together.

SHOES

Can you tell I’m loving white shoes? You guys know how much I love shoes, so cutting down my selection was tough. I always travel in a pair of comfy sneakers, so these by Fendi are great for the plane and for sightseeing. You can’t go wrong with a good pair of mules (check out some similar here) for a nice dinner or meeting and a pair of chic flats are perfect for getting around.

SKIN

Since I, technically, only spent two nights in Tokyo, I didn’t need to bring much skincare. I stuck to my holy grail favorites (see my skincare holy grail products here!) and I really took advantage of travel-sized productsNot only are the cute, but they’ve got just enough in them to use on a quick trip and the plane!

PLANE:

The flight from LA to Tokyo is about 12 hours, so in the span of 3 days, I pretty much spent 24 hours on an airplane! Since I wanted to travel as light as possible, I kept my plane essentials to a minimum. I had my travel wallet (see it here) to keep all of my documents in order and organized, my Gr8nola for snacking, and of course my in-flight skincare.

A few books that I’m loving to get some reading time in and my laptop to get some work done, you guys know I always have to be productive! Because I wanted to be as rested as possible when I got to Tokyo, I knew I wanted to get as much sleep as I could, so that’s where this little travel kit comes in- it has a cozy blanket and an eye mask that fits into a super convenient carrying case. And as always, I have my polaroids of Chloe. Whenever I feel stressed, tired, or homesick, looking at her little smiling face makes me happy.

When you read this, I’ll be in New York, right before I head out on another adventure! At this point, I think I can pack with my eyes closed. Do you guys have any packing tricks or in-flight essentials that you swear by? Let me know in the comments below and be sure to follow along on Instagram to keep up with my travels.
