Why Everyone Should Monochrome

For those of you who follow me during fashion month, you probably notice that I love a really good monochrome look. This past Paris Fashion Week, I wore a lot of different types of monochrome looks! The funniest part is, is that I didn’t even plan on it! I don’t usually have my outfits planned until I get to my location, especially since I usually have fittings with designers, but I somehow ended up with not one, not two, but FOUR full monochromatic looks. You guys know I always come back to this look, and I think you should too! Keep scrolling to discover why everyone should monochrome:

1. It’s The Easiest Way to Pack

Since I don’t know the looks I’m going to wear for fashion week, I always try to bring at least 3-5 of my personal outfits just in case. I like to stick to a color scheme when I travel so I can play with my outfit options but without a doubt, I always include a full monochrome look. Whether it’s Paris, New York or even a quick business trip, I know it’s a foolproof super strong look.

2. You’ll Immediately Stand Out

If you’re wearing an especially bright color like red or pink, you’ll stand out in the best possible way! I think my most photographed outfit of Paris Fashion Week was probably this full red look from Mugler (see above)! I even kept up the color scheme all the way down to my accessories! Between the shoes, lipstick, bag, AND sunnies, I really was stopping traffic 😉

3. Instantly Polished

A full monochrome look makes it seem like you spent an hour putting your look together, but in reality, it took you maybe 60 seconds or less. It’s the fastest way to look polished without trying or thinking too hard. All you have to do is put on all of the same color!

4. You Look Taller and Slimmer

Believe it or not, wearing a full look in one color can really help you look taller and slimmer! It visually streamlines you and helps elongate your frame! Not to mention, a good pair of high waisted wide leg trousers don’t hurt either.

5. Travel Wardrobe Options

A full monochrome look is a killer statement, but when it’s made up of multiple pieces, it just means you can mix and match throughout the rest of your wardrobe, which is amazing for traveling. For example, the camel outfit I’m wearing above has a top and trousers, but I can take the top and wear it with a cool pair of jeans one day, and then the trousers with a cool t-shirt and blazer on a different day! Bam! 3 chic outfits.

What do you guys think of monochrome looks and which one was your favorite? Let me know in the comments below and have a great day!
