Menswear Looks (Even Girly Girl Approved)

The menswear trend can seem intimidating, I know. Especially if you’re a dress and heels kind of girl. But don’t worry! I’ve got you covered. I’ve found three perfect menswear looks that even the girliest of girls will love and can pull off!  Each look has a menswear element to it and a feminine element. Between trousers and blazers, menswear is a lot more approachable than you might think! The best part is that you don’t have to go full-out and wear a matching suit to rock the trend. Keep scrolling to see how I marry masculine and feminine elements into three looks that you’re going to want to put on repeat! 😉

1. Find Menswear Pieces with Feminine Elements

As you guys know, I’m a sucker for a good pair of trousers. They’re kind of my signature thing. But if you’re more of a girly girl and you haven’t hopped on the menswear trend yet, the key is to find pieces with feminine elements. Like the ruffles (similar here or here) or even floral printed! I kept the rest of this pretty simple- tucking in a black slip dress (like this one) and a pair of classic black pumps with jeweled details.

2. Throw On an Oversized Blazer

Throwing an oversized blazer over any look is such a win this season. For this look, I wore a chic black slip dress, a pair of pointed sock boots (which would be a great look on its own), but this vintage powder blue oversized blazer (similar here) is such a great way to add another layer and another dimension to a simple look. If you’re not ready to do a full-on menswear look- an oversized blazer is the perfect mid-point!

3. Play with Classic Femme Accessories

Okay, I’ve been eyeing these Proenza trousers (similar here) for ages and I was so excited to finally get my hands on them. I love the silhouette and the exposed contrast stitching- they have a really cool utilitarian vibe and I wanted them to be the focus of the look. I paired it with a cool plain white tee (like this one), but then I wanted to give it a feminine twist: enter the accessories. First, a pair of classic black pumps (like these here). Then, throw on some sparkly statement earrings!

So there you have it! My three girly-girl approved menswear looks. Which one is your favorite? Let me know down below! Have a fantastic weekend everyone! PS: If you’re not already, be sure to follow along with my NYFW adventures on Instagram!
