3 Work Looks for Those Days When You Feel Like You Have Nothing to Wear

Happy Monday, everyone!  If you’re in need of a little outfit inspiration for work this week, I’ve got you covered to get your week started off on the right foot!  I feel so lucky to be able to work in a creative environment, so I know I can wear a lot of things to work that might not be suitable for a corporate environment. So today, I styled 3 outfits that are chic, simple, and can totally work in a corporate work place!  I added some modern fun twists on classic pieces and styled a few looks that can take you from 9-to-Happy Hour and more. Keep scrolling to discover 3 work looks for those days when you feel like you have nothing to wear!

Day to Night

Take your happy hour look to the office and visa-versa! A sleek LBD like this one paired with an oversized blazer looks chic and put together for the office, but still sleek and fun for after-hours! You might recognize this blazer (similar here) from this postand I seriously can’t get enough wears out of it! It’s such a versatile piece and it’s a perfect blazer to transition you from summer to fall! Seriously, if you get one piece this season, pick up an oversized blazer– you can thank me later!

Classic with a Twist

Find a classic black suit but with a bit of a twist. This one from The Kooples has a super cool lace detail on the hem that gives it a little extra something. If your workplace allows it, try switching your blouse to a plain white tee. It gives a cool, casual, modern vibe to an otherwise dressed up outfit. Not to mention this two-piece suit is great for mixing and matching! To finish off the look, I added this statement necklace to add a bit of a personal touch! (PS: How cute would this suit look with a pair of sneakers?)

Playing with Proportions

The tricky thing about work wear, especially in a corporate office (not that I’m an expert) is to find unique combinations.  Getting dressed is one of my favorite ways to express myself (I’m sure many of you also feel that way), but I think it’s all about how you style it so you don’t get bored with your outfits. For example, this outfit is a traditional wide leg slack with a slight flare and a pinstripe button-down with a built-in wrap. Because of the wrap detail, all of a sudden it makes it a bit more trendy and flattering. Instead of tucking the shirt it (which you can do for more of a formal look), I left it out to give the look more of an effortless vibe and played with the proportions.

Which look was your favorite? Let me know down below!
