Let's Talk About Pubes

Okay everyone, let’s talk about pubes, shall we?  We all have them, but for some reason, they’re still taboo to talk about! I say we shatter that and have an honest discussion about pubic hair. Some love theirs, some hate theirs and it’s safe to say that we all deal with it in different ways. Shaving, waxing, sugaring, leaving it be- it’s your body so you do you and whatever makes you feel the most comfortable and confident.

Exfoliate

A step a lot of people skip if you shave down there- or even your legs- is to exfoliate! Rule of thumb is that you shouldn’t put anything ~down there that you wouldn’t put on your face. Exfoliating helps prep your skin for a razor by getting rid of all the dead skin cells for a cleaner shave.

Fur Oil

Okay, how cool is this stuff? I discovered it not too long ago when Violet Grey sent this over and I’ve been hooked ever since!  It’s basically an oil that you can use on pubic hair or on your skin. It helps prevent ingrown hairs (ouch), softens hair, clear pores, and reduce any inflammation.  Heaven sent for the girl that likes to shave!  I’ve been using it every day since I got it and I can really tell a difference! I’ve even gotten some of the girls on the CINCteam to start using it as well!

New Razors

If you do shave down there, make sure to always do so with a fresh, new razor. You’ll get a cleaner shave, plus you won’t have to worry about dull blades. Also, use an unscented shaving cream or oil when you shave so you don’t irritate your skin! (PS: if you’ve run out of shaving cream/oil- hair conditioner works great in a pinch!) After you shave, make sure to moisturize! Coconut oil is a life saver.

So no matter what you do to your hair ~down there, just remember to take care of it. And if you have any tips, I’d love to hear them! Leave a comment below and have a great Monday!
