Instagram Worthy - Downtown LA Guide

Impresso Cafe
1115 S HOPE ST, LOS ANGELES, CA 90015

This café is within walking distance from the office and no lie… I’m probably there a minimum of 2-3 times a week.  I’m a sucker for a really great toast and even better cup of coffee. If you’re looking for a quaint café with unique coffee options as well (they have a lavender latte that they’re known for), good food (I’m a sucker for any of their toasts), juices and wi-fi, Impresso will hit the spot.

I love the: Avocado Toast, Parfait Bowl and Lavender Latte (shown in the photos above!)

LITTLE DAMAGE
700 S SPRING ST, LOS ANGELES, CA 90014

An ice dream + Instagram lover’s paradise!  I don’t know if you can get any more “LA” than this shop, but this family owned spot makes their signature black waffle cones with activated charcoal.  Their flavors are super unique and seasonal which makes this spot a true LA ice cream lover’s gem. Get there early as the line can tend to get a little long!

I love the: Unicorn Tears Ice Cream

PICHOUN CAFE
545 S OLIVE ST, LOS ANGELES, CA 90013

For those times that you really need to escape to France and pick up a baguette but can’t, go to Pitchoun.  This French café is located in the heart of downtown and is the perfect spot to get your baguette, crossaint and espresso fix. Everything is homemade daily and they also have great artisanal breads, pastries, cakes, sandwiches, salads and soups.

I love the: Parisian Sandwhich and Brussels Salad

BESTIA
2121 E 7th PL, LOS ANGELES, CA 90021

Hands down one of the bests spots to grab dinner and cocktails downtown. You walk in and there’s so much energy everywhere. The open kitchen has your mouth salivating because you know the food’s going really be that good. Think: roasted marrow bone, mussels and clams in homemade spicy ‘nduja sausage, ricotta dumplings and tomahawk chop! Make sure to call in advance for a reservation because they fill up really quickly!

I love the: Bone Marrow and Cavatelli Pasta (They also have amazing wine options)

MACCHERONI REPUBLIC
332 S BROADWAY, LOS ANGELES, CA 90013

Fresh, organic pasta that tastes like someone’s Italian grandmother made it just for you.  All of the dishes completely melt in your mouth. This spot has such a homey vibe and you can also bring your own wine (corkage fee is somewhere between $5-$10). Perfect for a date night or party of four.

I love the: Pumkpin Ravioli, Sage Pasta and Baked Eggplant

VERVE COFFEE
833 S Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90014

Located right on Spring street (and just a black away from Acne Studios), Verve is a coffee + juice lover’s paradise. Aside from great coffee, they have delicious lunches you can munch on if you’re planning to stay for a while, juice flights from Juice Served Here and it’s the perfect spot to sit for an extended period of time. I especially love having a moment and sitting outside next to their living green wall. Iced coffee lovers make sure to try their Iced Vato (cold brew mixed with Juice Served Here’s “Cream Party” (aka the most delicious blend of coconut cream + coconut juice). You can thank me later!

WHERE TO STAY

TUCK HOTEL
820 S Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90014

The Tuck Hotel is probably one of the more instagrammable boutique hotels I’ve ever seen! It’s within walking distance of some of the coolest places on this list plus the restaurant has one of the best brunches I’ve ever had!

FREEHAND HOTEL
416 W 8th St, Los Angeles, CA 90014

A super chic boutique hotel that just opened in Downtown LA (Not to mention it’s just a block from Whole Foods and Bottega Louie). It’s in a newly renovated historic building with an amazing restaurant right down the stairs. If you go to the restaurant- trust me and get the hummus, you won’t regret it!

SPECIALTY SPOTS

BIRDIES LA
314 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90015

The CINCteam’s favorite place to grab fried chicken and donuts! It also doesn’t hurt that they have really great coffee there as well. They use cornflakes for their tenders which make them extra, extra delicious. You can also sample the donuts before committing to which 1 (or 2) you want.

I love the: Spicy Chicken Sandwhich, Chicken Tenders & Strawberry Cream Donut

LA FLOWER MARKET
6130 Wilshire Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90048

Anyone who’s been to the flower market truly loves it.  It’s THE floral spot to get any type of flowers, succulents, vases, plants…you  name it! The flower mart will not disappoint.  Make sure to check what time they’re open because their hours tend to change.  Admission is $2 so make sure to bring cash if you can.

PAMPER YOURSELF

NAIL BOX
300 S Santa Fe Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90013

Want to #treatyourself? The Nailbox is the perfect place to get a mani-pedi you’re going to love plus a killer IG photo while you’re there. One of the girls on my team swears by this place. Great nails for a great price, what’s not to love?

SPRING
300 S Santa Fe Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90013

A beautiful restaurant that serves tasty French food and seasonally focused cocktails. This place is great for a date night or hanging with friends and family…They also have marble everywhere. Need I say more?

NIGHT LIFE

LIBRARY BAR
630 W 6th St #116a, Los Angeles, CA 90017

A classic bar that both LA natives and tourists love. The bar is lined with books and handcrafted drinks like the Hemingway Daiquiri. They have Happy Hour from M-F from 3-6PM.  Good vibes, good eats and good people.  A local favorite.

THE ACE HOTEL
929 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90015

One of the most hip hotels on Broadway. Quaint rooms, a rooftop bar with an amazing view of downtown and great food on the 1st floor. The Ace Hotel’s crowd is super trendy and you can catch great vibes everywhere.  Located in the heart of downtown LA, the Ace is a fun spot to catch a drink, food or a show!
