A Citrus Story

Every season, I find something that really inspires me. Whether it’s a texture, a print or a certain color, I always tend to gravitate towards something different each year. This summer, after I came back from traveling to Spain, I’ve been obsessed with all things citrus!

I swear, everywhere I look now, I see something in this gorgeous mustard, citrusy color palette and need to have it. From gorgeous gowns (like this one) to little hints of the color (how cute is this silk scarf?), it’s crazy how fast my closet has filled up with so much of this color. I’m officially naming mustard yellow as my color for summer!

If you know me, you know that my wardrobe usually consists of pretty neutral colors, so wearing bright yellow is a pretty big leap, but after spending so much time in Europe and being inspired by the city and the culture, something about this golden hue makes me instantly gravitate towards it and feel really elegant in it.

While a completely yellow dress might seem like a big commitment, (or perhaps a great Beyonce-Lemonade-Moment-Kind-Of-Commitment), a cute blouse like this one is a great way to ease into it. I paired the yellow blouse (similar here) with a cute white wrap midi-skirt (like this one) to balance it out. All of these looks scream “summer vacation,” and I ain’t mad at it.

What do you guys think? Are you loving this color for summer? Leave me a comment down below and let me know!
