Summer Skin + Hair

Now that it’s officially summer I’m fully embracing beach waves, bronzed skin and tropical scents. And even though I can’t be on the beach every day, I’ve found a way to keep that salt air with me no matter where I go. Keep scrolling to see how I get my ultimate summer skin and hair:

Shimmer Oil

I dont care what people say, you’re never too old for a little bit of shimmer! This oil is great because you can use it all over your body, including your face and hair and it gives a lovely and effortless sun-kissed glow. It’s almost as if Golden Hour, that gorgeous time of day right as the sun begins to set, is following you around! It’s infused with some amazing oils to keep your skin hydrated as well as mother of pearl particles to give you that ethereal glow. It’s a total must-have for tropical vacations too!

Beach day or not, ALWAYS WEAR SUNSCREEN. This one from La Mer is so great because the formula is super light, so you get the protection you need without being weighed down by that feeling of wearing sunscreen.

This fragrance from Aerin- besides coming in an absolutely gorgeous bottle that would look good on any vanity, has an amazing light tropical scent that instantly transports me to the Mediterranean every time I spritz.

A good sun hat can do so much. It shields your face from the sun, it’s the perfect answer to a bad hair day (we all have them) and it’s a super chic way to finish off any summer outfit. You might recognize this cute tri-colored Eugenia Kim hat from my 3 Instagram Worth Suits for Summer post! Pro tip: if you want to travel with a hat but you don’t want to squish it, fill the hat with some t-shirts or bathing suits to keep the shape then pack around it, almost nesting it into your suitcase!

Tanning Water

The first time I saw this tanning water I was skeptical. The tanning water is basically a clear liquid in a quick drying formula that develops into a gorgeous tan after about 2 to 3 hours. They’ve also got self-tanning drops for your face and your body! Okay get this, all you have to do is add the drops to your moisturizer/lotion so the tanning works into your existing skincare routine. And it actually works!

Body Oil

This Nuxe Dry oil is a classic, and works for pretty much anything. Your face, hair, body and it always makes me feel super luxe. It’s also got a very subtle scent that you’ll fall in love with!

Wave Spray

Getting those oh-so coveted beach waves has never been easier. This Ouai spray is like the holy grail for perfect waves! I like to use it on days when my hair could use a little extra bounce. Just a few spritz and a scrunch here and there, and BAM: beach waves. You all know how much I love Jens Beach Waves.

Face Mist

You might recognize this face mist from a few of my past posts (like this oneand I can honestly say that this is one of the few products that I always repurchase. It smells great, it’s a great refresher on those long summer days and it’s made with really great ingredients that only do good things for your skin!  Nothing is worse than your skin feeling dehydrated in the summer.

Body Bronzer

I’ve been a huge fan of Charlotte Tilbury products for a while now, so it’s no wonder that this product has made its way into my summer skin must-haves. It’s designed to elongate your limbs and is almost like contouring your body! I like to use it on my legs, arms, and décolletage on a date night to add a subtle glow. PS: it’s only 2oz- so be sure to throw it into your carry on for vacation!

The tanning drops sounds interesting – however I try to avoid tanning coz I get freckles which I don’t like.
    Here here to the sunscreen.
And I agree – a little bit of shimmer is great.
