Is Your Skin Thirsty?

I have a real question for you guys. Is your skin THIRSTY? Would you even know if it was thirsty? As we begin spending countless hours basking in the sun (you’re all wearing SPF every day, right?), on airplanes, laying out by the beach or by the pool, our skin’s moisture takes a serious punch (especially in the summer). But don’t you worry. I’ve got you covered. I found some amazing products that can help quench your skin’s thirst this season to keep you feeling moisturized and happy all summer long! Remember! A good skincare foundation this summer means great skin during the winter!

1. Face Mist

Face mists are often overlooked, but they are perfect answer to give you an extra boost of moisture on the go. It’s the ultimate beach bag companion! A little spritz here and there throughout the day is a great refresher to keep your skin feeling nice and hydrated.

2. Exfoliate

Exfoliating is super important for healthy moisturized skin. An esthetician once told me that exfoliating was kind of like raking the leaves before tending to the grass. You have to clear out all the gunk before you can really take care of your skin! This ‘instant facial’ exfoliant is seriously game changing. It leaves my skin soft and supple like I just as walked out of an amazing facial!  Don’t forget!  The more gunk you get out, the better your products can work for you.

3. Serum

This moisturizing serum from First Aid Beauty is quickly becoming a summer staple for me. A little goes a long way, so I usually use about a pea size amount of the product a few minutes before I apply my moisturizer and my makeup. Serums sink deeper into your skin than a moisturizer does and they act almost as a barrier keeping your skin hydrated throughout the day. PS: if you have sensitive skin, this product is perfect for you! It’s also unscented.

4. Moisturizer

What’s a skincare routine without a great moisturizer? This one from Darphin is an all-around CINCTeam favorite! It goes on very light but is seriously hydrating. I use it morning and night and have even noticed the appearance of my pores shrinking. Not to mention that it leaves me with a gorgeous glow! The gel formula also soaks into my skin instantly.

5. Mask

I’m a firm believer that there’s a mask for everything and this guy is no different. It’s a hydrating clay mask and it’s found its way into my summer staples. I love the way my skin feels after I use it! It’s made with aloe vera and chamomile which is great for stressed skin injecting tons of amazing hydrating goodness into your skin. I like to use it after a long day at the beach!
