How to Get The Smokey Wing

A smokey eye is one of the most universally flattering makeup looks, but this season I want to switch it up a bit. So, I asked my girl Mikayla (you might remember her work from this post here!) to help me create a look to do just that. Enter: The Smokey Wing. Part winged-eye-liner + part smokey eye with a strong brow = a bold look that is all parts AMAZING. And, if you believe it or not, pretty easy to do. Keep scrolling to read how to achieve this look and get a super secret sneak peek at something amazing coming to the channel soon!

Step 1:

Using a pot liner (like this one here) and an angled eyeliner brush (like this one) line your lash line, and draw a wing without filling it in. (The wing can be as subtle or as exaggerated as you’d like.)

Step 2:

Take the same angled brush and sweep the product upwards and blend to make the liner look smokey.

Step 3:

Then, use a makeup remover wipe or concealer to sharpen the edges of the liner.

Step 4:

Take your favorite brow product (I’m loving this one right now) and line the bottom of your brow in your desired shape.

Step 5:

Fill in the outer edge of the brow and barely touch the front. (The more natural the front of the brow looks, the better!)

Step 6:

Finally, conceal around the outer edges of the brow and BLEND, BLEND, BLEND!

As any makeup look, practice makes perfect! And if you’re feeling really adventurous, try re-creating this look with a colored liner like this one! We finished off The Smokey Wing with some mascara, some bronzer to warm up my face and a nude-coral lipstick (check out this one here)!

So what do you guys think? Are you going to try The Smokey Wing soon? Let me know in the comments below and have a great day! (PS: If you haven’t already subscribed to my channel, click here!)
