My First Day In Japan: Tropical Storm Included

After a full day of traveling, 18 hours to be exact, we finally made it to Japan! I’ve been to Japan many times before for a layover, but have never had a chance to step foot outside the airport! Although I wanted to stay & explore Tokyo so badly, we had to catch another 3-hour flight south to Okinawa Island.

When we got to Okinawa Island, it was quite reserved and everything I imagined the island to be. I am currently here for a very exciting project with SKII which I will tell you more about in a future post, but I wanted to quickly check in with you guys and share with you what I wore on my very first day in Japan! It actually took me quite some time to figure out how to dress for this weather because it’s a mixture of all sorts of things:  humid and warm yet still cold and rainy.  So, I paired these Ganni wide leg silk trousers that I’ve had for a few months with a cold shoulder Rosetta Getty top. This top was perfect because it was thin enough for the humidity but the long sleeves were great since it got quite cold later on in the day. And, I love the fact that these wide leg silk trousers look super effortless and are just perfectly breezy and easy to wear in this tropical weather. It’s totally the “I-just-rolled-out-of-bed-and-had-nothing-to-wear-but-PJs” look. And of course, I wore my beloved Gucci slides that I just can’t get enough of.

If you’re not already, make sure to follow along on my Instagram and Instastories for more adventures here in Okinawa! We are doing some really adventurous and out of the ordinary things!! And, if you guys have ever been here to this island… Any suggestions are highly welcomed!! Just leave me a comment below!
