Happy Holidays! Of all the mouth-watering holiday dishes out there, my ultimate favorite one is oven deep fried Yukon potatoes. My sister in law makes them every year for thanksgiving and Christmas and they’re so darn good!! All that is is cut up Yukon potatoes (no skin) and a good amount of vegetable oil enough to cover them half way. fry them until they’re golden and crispy on each side. The key is to turn them over every once in a while so they’re evenly coooked and crispy. A sprinkle of salt and the world’s most delicious fried potatoes are served! 🙂

Hot chocolate! I hope that counts as food! ❤️ I usually have it only around the holidays.
Otherwise, here is an interesting fact: because I was born in Eastern Europe when it was still communist times, when I was little there were oranges and bananas only for Christmas, so even now many years later, living in the US, I still think of Christmas every time I peel an orange.

As a food junkie, when you ask me for my favourite food, I can write you a 10 page essay and that won’t begin to cover even half of the list xD But to name one item, I love the coconut flavoured rice cake that one of my family friends makes. Alas, of course we cannot leave out the food for the holidays! My family is quite unconventional in what we eat for the holidays- we actually eat authentic Korean food! Eating Korean food during the holiday season is meaningful because it is hard for me and my brother to eat home-cooked Korean food when abroad, so my grandma and mother spend a lot of time preparing a variety of Korean dishes. It is such a warm, comforting feeling to be home, with family, and have a belly full of hearty Korean food!
Beautiful bag, love the contrasting colors in this look.

Gingerbread people. I bake men and women and they taste equally good 😊
My parents are Nigerian so Christmas for me has always being a fusion of Western and African traditions. There’s never been a good Christmas meal without my mum’s killer jollof rice which would of course not be complete without a juicy roast! 😋

But if i have to pick one has to be the simplest one. Potatos. In any presentation. Salad. Mashed. Filling. Potatoes are the best.
If we spend the holidays with my side of the family, my mom usually makes some kind of noodle soup. One of my favorite would be bun bo hue. YUM! If we go see my husband’s side of the family for the holidays, it would have to be our cousin Jimmy’s prime rib. 🙂 which is what I will be eating this year for Christmas!
My favorite holiday food is my Aunt’s asparagus casserole and my Cousin’s banana cream pie. The asparagus casserole is so cheesy and delicious I always go for a second helping, however the banana cream pie is out of this world it makes you want to hide the whole thing from everyone!

Gorgeous whites!! Love!!
By far my favorite holiday food is something called buñuelos. They’re typical colombian christmas food, they never can be missing from dinner parties or novenas.
One of things I love about the winter season is that I can take out all my sweaters and wear them everyday!
Home fooooooodsss!
I really miss all the dishes my mom cooks, especially when the holiday was around the corner, she tried her best to cook as many dishes as she could. It can be normal dishes for normal days but I cannot compare any of these with foods I can get from outside these days. When I was young, after going to the catholic church, we had these home foods and celebrate Christmas with a small cake. There was no traditional Christmas cake in my country and even though I don’t remember exactly what cake we had in that time, I still feel so cozy and warm by thinking of the dining table which had full of dishes, candle lights on the cake and of course having with my family.
Love your style, xoxo
My favorite holiday food is definitely the sweets! The Buche de Noel is yummmmy!

My favorite favorite favorite holiday food is of course Christmas cookies!!! Does that count as a food? 🙂
I love all the Thanksgiving foods still at Christmas time. Especially the sweets – pecan, apple and pumpkin pies!
The poncho looks amazing! My favorite holiday food is definitely mashed potatoes covered in gravy!
Wooh love the wine colored bag!! 😍 My favorite holiday food, well drink rather is hot apple cider with a cinnamon stick!
My favorite Christmas food is my mom’s chestnut wild rice stuffing!
I love the little holiday cookie tins with the wedding cake cookies and jelly filled ones, but I’m from New Orleans, and although we have beignets all year round, there’s nothing better then getting beignets and hot chocolate in city park! Also can’t remember being in love with so many shoots in a row. You’re capturing the holidays 🙂
My favorite holiday food is eggnog ice cream, which is only available between Thanksgiving and New Year’s. It pairs perfectly with anything ginger — cookies, gingerbread, gingerbread pear upside down cake. Eggnog ice cream also tastes good with those cutout sugar cookies, spritz cookies, and sable. And I love to eat it with fruit compotes like apple, pear, and dried fruits made into a compote. Finally, eggnog ice cream is also delicious with just a shot of rum or cognac poured over it as a simple dessert. Because I love this flavor so much, I tend to purchase several locally made brands each year so I have it throughout the 12 days of Christmas.
I love to eat pie on Christmas, any kind I don’t have a favorite!
Love these Frye items! Beautiful bag and poncho. My family always does the 7 Fishes on Christmas Eve. Being a lover of seafood, this is my favorite food night of the holiday season. I’m in heaven when I see a huge platter of grilled and fried seafood heading my way 🙂 xox
Being Asian, my favorite holiday food has always been seared sweet rice cakes. Just totally reminds me of my non-adult days.
Hi,
Ouah I love so many food but I think that my favorite holyday food in winter is the Aligot prepared by my father.
It is one of the specialty of a region of France, especially from where I come from.
Have a good day !!

Oh wow! There is just so many to choose from! I think it’s my grandma stuffed bread. I think it’s actually an old Cambell’s recipe (as there is no other reason the Chicken Gumbo Campbell soup would be in fashion in Canada in December), but it’s just the most awesome ground beef preparation stuffed in salad rolls and baked!
My Nana’s German Christmas cookies!
My favourite holiday food is all the christmas chocolate <3
Missing a red or black beret, but not a lot
My favorite holiday food is definitely hot chocolate, specifically the peppermint hot chocolate from Williams Sonoma, which comes in the cutest tin. Love the bag in this post!
so cool!

How generous to donate to feeding America!
My favorite holiday food/treat would be eggnog! I go crazy when it hit the shelves in all its amazing variety of flavors! I also made “ninjabread” cookies last year which were gingerbread cookies cut out into shapes of ninja’s. My parents, boyfriend, and I had a blast decorating and I can’t wait to do again this year!
My favorite holiday food is that crispy pork skin you can only get at a Cuban home on Christmas Eve!
Thank you so much for this #12DaysGiveaway Chriselle and for making such an amazing contribution to Feed America! My favorite holiday food isn’t necessarily a holiday food but it’s 칼국수, it’s just so warm and cozy it always reminds me of Christmas time 🙂
So hard to choose a favorite holiday food there are so many things, I guess my favorite holiday food would be my mom’s apple pie. She only makes it only for Christmas and it is so delicious. It is not too sweet and it is just right. The crust that she makes is wonderful and love it so much. Every time I try to copy it, I could never get it right. #12DaysGiveaway

Stuffed Turkey, my mum’s recipe! The ultimate festive food!!
Lovely outfit! I am totally in love with this bag.
We usually eat goose with potato dumplings and red cabbage for 3 days and I am excited for this every year again.

I have too many favorite holiday foods! I think my favorite Christmas food is actually part of a present tradition from my mom. She stuffs our stockings to where the very last thing we pull out of the toe is a naval orange, which is usually a perfect to munch on while we get the large family breakfast prepared. I used to think it was strange but now I love it
My birthday is close to Christmas and its when my mom makes my favorite food: grilled cheese with caviar from Eloise at the Plaza.
Oh my gosh I love Frye!! And Feeding America is awesome too! My favorite Christmas food is a beef tenderloin roast that I make with a red wine rosemary butter sauce! Yum! Merry Christmas! 🎄
Favourite holiday food would be the log cakes! #sweettoothalert !
Hi Chrisrlle,
My favorite holiday food is a traditional dish from Puerto Rico, where I am from, “Arroz con Gandules”, which is sort of rice and beans but this one in particular Puertoricans mostly eat it during the holidays.
Happy Holidays to you, your husband and your baby girl!

Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes with gravy! If that’s not holiday enough, I do love me some gingerbread cookies. 😋
Holiday food aka my favourite holiday subject ! I love eating foie gras, ginger bread and chocolate “bûche de Noël” so much during the festive season. I also die for everything that contains winter truffles xx
I always go for Mexican food for Christmas! It seems kind of off for some but I guess that’s the Texas girl in me!

Love the outfit. Perfect for the weather…warm and cozy!!! My favorite holiday food is casserole, esp. the hashbrown casserole.
Pierre Hermé’s macarons for sure (the passionfruit and chocolate one is my fave)!! On year, I had to queue outside the shop for 40 minutes on Christmas Day because the line was so long and we forgot to buy them before! Macarons are a holiday tradition is my family and we like Pierre Hermé over La Durée! (I know, shocking!) 😉
Well, I forgot to tell you about my favorite Christmas food!
Not food but rather, drink! Hot wine in a cup with cinnamon and a slice of orange! Gluehwein!!
Hi Chriselle,
Lovee ponchos, besides de fact there ponchos are a tipical clothe where Im from, they are so cozy, and that bag has the perfect color.
My favorite food is ham with mashed potatos, My mom would spend the cristmas eve on the kitchen cooking, and it smell soo good all over the house, so by the time dinner was ready I was soo hungry and would eat everything! but my favorite always was the ham and that mashed potato she used to make…. delicious!!
That scarf is dreamy! Perfect, cozy texture, creamy colour for mostly every combination, makes winter a call for snuggles !
XX
That saddle bag is gorgeous! My favorite holiday food has to be Christmas cookies like the sugary, frosty ones or gingerbread men. Delicious with cocoa!
My favourite holiday food changed when I became a vegetarian but eating with loved ones I still one of the most important holiday activities, I think. I love exotic fruit like pomegranates to sprinkle over veggies to make them look more festive and I love decadent cheese and sweet treats, of course. I would love to eat all that snuggled in a Frye Poncho 😉
[…] mind is their amazing leather boots and bags, right? Well, think again! from The Chriselle Factorhttps://thechrisellefactor.com/2016/12/12-days-chris-elle-day-5/ from Tumblr […]
