5 Ways to Tie a Neck Scarf

Finding versatile pieces in your closet is the best way to expand it without spending any money. Whether you’re wearing your dress backward, layering a skirt, or turning any button down into an off the shoulder top – it’s a quick, easy and totally free way to make the most of your wardrobe! If there’s one accessory you should keep on hand…it’s a neck scarf! I got creative styling this one and decided to bring you 5 ways to style tie a neck scarf!

1. Necktie

The necktie is a total classic, and I love that it adds a feminine touch, especially when tied loosely into a bow! If bows aren’t your thing, tie it closely to your neck and it’ll give you completely different look. This chiffon material is so versatile and really easy to tie however you like!

2. Bag

Accessories can really make or break your outfit, so why not give them a little extra love! Accessories for your bags, like keychains or charms, are all the rage right now. So why not use that scarf you have in the back of your closet to give your handbag an added feminine twist!

3. Belt It

Wearing jeans? Loop your scarf through your belt loops and tie it in a bow! It’s an easy way to add a fun texture to your look. If you don’t like the look of the bow- just tie a small knot and weave the rest of the fabric into your belt loops.

4. Over the Blazer

Tie your scarf over a blazer or sweater to cinch in your waist and give a new twist to a classic silhouette. Especially since blazers and sweaters can oftentimes make you look boxier than you are, adding this element to define your waistline is the perfect way to give yourself a little shape.

5. Hair Tie

Nothing says classic like a ribbon in your hair! To do this- I folded the scarf in half, then knotted it around my ponytail. To secure the scarf from slipping off my hair- I secured it with some bobby-pins.

There you have it! My five ways to tie a neck scarf. Do you have a creative way you use a scarf? Let me know in the comments below- or tag me in a picture on Instagram! Have a great Monday everyone!
